Hi I'm running the PC version of TR:AOD and last night I got to the louvre galleries...saved my game so I could restart again this morning. I went to start up the save and it began to load, then the screen darkened, I got return to my windows XP desktop and this error popped up in a little grey box:
"The Following Error has occured Generic Game Error ASSERTION: 'index>=0 && index < MAX_POINT_PER_PATH' at C:\projects\tomb raider\Game\ai\ai_nav.cpp(1696)" What does this mean? My other save game still works but It would mean going right back to the serpent rouge level. Can I recover my save somehow if it is corrupt? thanks Another strange prb while i'm here... The game gfx dont run smoothly unless I first switch my screen from 1024x768 to 800x600 then back again very strange prob and nothing is said about this in the game manual. I am using the latest game patch and graphics drivers for my Nvidia geforce 3 ti200. Thanks

I've had that problem to and funny enough it was also in the louvre galleries level. I don't think you can repair your save game, so you have to play it again from your previous savegame. I only had this error once till now. So I guess it doesn't happen frequently.
If I can give you an advice: Spread your savegames over more slots. So I mean, save your game more often on different saveslots. And about your graphics.. I don't know why that is. |

just found out that in the support section of the eidos website, they have made a downloadable file which has a game save at the start of each level so if this happens, you can restart from the start of that particular level again. Thanks for the advice on game saving.
