The lost artifact

I am really lost, I am in the lost artifact at the begining in the highland fling and looking for the crowbar and can't find it!!!!!! I found the harpoons no problem, swept the floor of the pool for this blasted crowbar and it is not there

Even had others look for it but they could not spot it either

Any help would be great

I trust we're both talking about the same crowbar here...

Just to be sure I've done a little montage below;-



This is the crowbar in the pool of water, after you've shot the guard on the terrace, gone left past the bats, and shot the guard at the end of the arched walkway. Right?

As you face the steps with the lever, the crowbar should behind you on the right in the pool. (See montage.)
I'm guessing you can see everything clearly, and that you don't need to bump your brightness levels up?
If the crowbar isn't in that exact place as in the screenshot then you've probably got a bug. (see Stella's to confirm).
Restarting the level or going form an earlier save game will often rectify this.
