Default Multiplayer?

Now I know this has come up a few times in the past, and as far as I know, Core/Eidos have always said there's not going to be multiplayer in Tomb Raider.

But, I'm just wondering what people think about multiplayer, especially with the introduction of a new character. I know there are planty of other things for them to get right first with the AoD engine before they even think about modifying it in this way, but how about a few suggestions.

How cool would it be to have a multiplayer mode, where you could raid a tomb simultaneously with your mates against each other. The reason I ask this, is because I've just loaded up Last Revelation, and played the first couple of levels going "Wow, she's so responsive", "Oohhh - lens flare!", "Cool, dripping water when she's been swimming" and finally "Race for the Iris - I REMEMBER THIS - It's excellent". You know, the one where you have to race Von Croy to the Iris.

You could use the new hand to hand combat and have a beat 'em up - with Lara against Winston or Larson. Or how about some of those vehicles from past TR's. A multiplayer snowmobile race - with guns! The possibilities are endless!
