2 different kinds of questions actually.
1) I've finished AOD on PC but with Godmode coz I was too tired of getting beating up without actually knowing how far away the ending still was. Now that I've finished the game, I can try to enjoy playing it rather than pulling out all of my hair coz I'm constantly stuck (not because of bugs or anything - ironically enough! ) or because some enemy is too powerful. So, my question is: how do you actually defeat Eckhardt?Since I could never get hurt and never lost any life I could just keep on shooting him after he did his little Multiplicity'-thing! ![]() I can jump over the fire he ... err ... well: fires? - that's no problem, but with the electricity-thingy I have a problem. If I'm positioned right, I can do a kind of major-jump all over it, but even that doesn't always work. Is there another (read: better and easier) way to NOT be thrown away by these electricity-beams? And how long and thus how many times that the 3 Eckhardts run into this circle does it take normally to defeat Eckhardt?2) The only one of the bad guys who survived is Gunderson, right? Because Eckhardt is dead (pity: he was cool bad guy although he doesn't top the list of great bad Tomb Raider-persona because that honor still goes to Jacqueline Natla ) and so is this Karel-dude. I wonder what'll happen in the next game. And is Kurtis alive (at least: so it seems, no?)BTW: Kurtis Trent is not even half as good as Lara Croft, right? I mean: he gets killed by what indeed appears to be a pretty dangerous and annoying-to-defeat monster-enemy, but Lara Croft has to defeat 2 major enemies (3 if you count that little, red ghost as well but since that's an easy part once you know how do crawl past it ) who are both anything but human and therefore much stronger and ... well: immortal (or so they thought )Just sharing thoughts though ... ![]() Bye for now |

Well, congratulations, Godfather! I finished the game last night; overall an enjoyable experience but the ending was a little abrupt (what, no end credits??)
Now, Eckhardt. I too managed ti jump over his fire attacks easily enough, but couldn't avoid the lightning ones. Until the remarkably simple method occurred to me....for as long as Eckhardt is outside of the glowing barrier, just have Lara lie down on her stomach in stealth mode. And stay there. All his attacks will just pass right over her head. Only stand up when his clones rush into the centre, and if you can shoot him at point blank range, you should be able to damage him enough for Lara to stab him almost straight away. So the clones should only have to run ino the middle three times or so before you can defeat him for good. Eckhardt is definitely dead, but I'm confused about Karel...I thought he had died too but I'm sure interviews with the developers have said he's still alive. Well, someone has to be the villain in the next game, anyway! As for Kurtis......OK he may not be as good as Lara, but he's still pretty gorgeous...ahhhhh, oops, I meant cool Personally, I think that if he WAS every bit as good as Lara, people would probably see him as competing with her, and resent him for strealing her limelight. As it is, he's getting bashed for not being good enough. There's no pleasing some folk (incidentally, I know what you wrote wasn't intended as Kurtis-bashing, Godfather)I think he's still alive, anyway; his Chirugai appeared to be trying to return to him when Lara picked it up. Presumably it's going to lead her to him. I'd play the game through again, but I have a bug which freezes the game every time I try to climb the drainpipe in the first level
