Need help with flying spirit

I am stuck.
I am terribly stuck with that flying spirit. At the end of the Hall of seasons.
I can manage to paralyse the ugly flying spirit by shooting at him three zillion times. But then I can't reach the blue book. It disappears before I can reach it.

HELP!

Thats he only way you can get the Book (It's a painting )..The way i did it was when the ghost was chasing me i went near the statue which had the blue flashing light (Don't get too close or it will disappear) Then i shoot the ghost until he stops for about 3/4 seconds. Your already near the statue with the blue light so u don't have to run far and waste time..Then u qucikly put ur gun away..and grab the painting...Once u have the painting run to the door you entered the room in...

I'm right there, so I'll let you know how it comes out - I thought there was a reason for all the shotgun ammo & shotgun, in the room...

It seems really nonsensical to shoot a ghost, but you gotta do it.

Yea lol

That is point tho about the shotgun ammo...Maybe core was trying to trick us into thinking we was supposed to shoot the ghost and kill it that way..
