Default A side of Lara never seen...

I just have to comment on how they have written more emotion into Lara in AOD, because I find it extrodinary.

First off Ive been playing Tomb Raider since it has come out in 96 when my grandmother brought over her playstation and the original game, and ever since then Lara Croft has become a sort of idol to me. Ive enjoyed watching the story lines of each of the games, but have never been so taken as I have in this last one. I mean here's Lara, a rock hard woman, who has been through so much alone, showing a vulnerability when she meet Kurtis. For a second your thinking 'wow, she is a real woman'. Its completely amazing, if you ask me, and I really hope they dont kill Kurtis off. This change in her I welcome as a fan of the game.

Well theres my thoughts, take care.

why did your grandma has a playstaion and you didn't? normally its the other way around. you have a point with the emotion. now she no longer acts so...dead i guess is what i'm looking for. she's my idol too. i'm a guy so i got breast implants just so i could resemble her. i love you lara!!!

ps-anchorage kicks ass!!! you're cool

I went into that cut scene and when I saw that I was completely shocked. I really liked Kurtis and I didnt mind at all playing him. I mean, the game is about Lara, but he fits in perfectly and I disagree with people who say he ruined it. But thats my own oppinion.

Lol. At that time I was about 10, and we only owned a super nintendo, but my grandma (being as cool as she is) loved to play video games so she just brought it over. Not sure if shes as into it as she was. But yeah I guess that does sound funny.

And thanks! I love it here!

Thumbs up

I'm not suprised that your grandmother is cool. Most of the people from Alaska are either cool or insane.
Luckily, I'm both!

I think that Kurtis needs to keep his hands to himself.

Lara! Keep shooting, Lara! Keep shooting!

aaaaahh I can`t wait to play it!!! It`s hard hearing you guys talk about it..........I almost thought of buying a PS2 just so I could get the game. But then I realized that would be obsessive and I should wait for the PC.

Ah, i like your thinking. Pro-Kurtis. He did fit in fine, and it made Lara look so much more real, indeed. Even Lara Croft has to find a man at some point in her life. I was kinda hoping Kurtis wasn't it, and was moreso a colleague (it looks like i didn't spell that right...), but we'll see.

I`m really excited to play Kurtis!!!! I think he will be a nice addition to the game. I have a couple questions though.....Are his levels long or short? Are the Levels with Kurtis all in a row or spread out?? Thanks.

2 short levels near the end, and then you play as Lara for 2 levels, followed by a short boss level with Kurtis.

Kurtis is a good addition to this game. I know you'll like him Young_Lara!

Hold onto this one, Lara.

LOL, "These are your specialty, Kurtis, not mine!"

You were quoting from the game, right?

If not, well, now you know one of her lines.

Nope, wasnt quoting from the game. Was just commenting that Lara shouldnt let Kurtis go.

But I do believe he replies with. "Dont waste your time here. Just go. I can take care of ugly here."

Or something close to that.

LOL, yes, that's exactly what he says! Someone's paying attention . I like how coy he is when he says "well that wasn't so tough." And back in the Sanitarium when he says "and i thought this was one of my easy days." He's a great character, indeed.

At that point, I wanted to tear him apart with my teeth and hands!

I kinda disappeared last night, eh? Got invited to go drinking, couldn't pass that up, but i couldn't leave Tomb Raider behind, so i took it along. Then the cops came, and i was like "no sir, i wasn't drinking, i was playing Tomb Raider on my friend's PS2". Killer, because i had a Corona sittin' right next to the game, and the cops never came in the house. LOL. I highly recommend playing TR drunk sometime, it's fun, i was surrounded by guys hootin' over her boobs bouncing. LMAO

For me Tomb Raider has become a bit more then a kick butt game with awesome adventures.

You're supposed to use the spoiler option! You just ruined the end for me! Grrrrrrr, newbs. *don't take offense, just fix it *
