Talking All is forgiven.

Not without certain satisfaction I read an article about the last Indiana Jones game in the PCZone mag. I think most of you will enjoy the last line as much as I did.

Hey just remember that the mouse will only be used to swing the camera around Lara too from the look of it. The only reason we're going to be a lot happier about TRAOD is that the movement keys will still be the forward, turn left/right, hop back of old -- as opposed to Indy's camera-angle defined runs. Lara's cam will have no influence over her movement

Whether or not this is be less frustrating than Empirical Indy's controls only time will tell given the horror stories coming out of E3 about the camera wandering around of it's own accord if you don't hold a button/stick down.

All up I'd prefer the mouse/camera control the direction of Lara's view and turning, and the left/right keys to make her sidestep in that direction. Feel/fear the fuzzy cuddles I get at the thought of this method...

Three cheers! At least somebody dared to give the Indy game what it deserved.

Cool

Ouch! -hey watch where you're starting that wave!

I think it's pretty much a given, that these two characters are generally better in the genre from whence they came.
It's just a shame they've ballsed up the Indy game like this, as it would have so much better if only they'd out some more thought into the controls etc.

Ah well.
Ce la vie.

We should wait and see how the gaming press reacts to AOD before we all start chucking too much dirt on poor old Indy

It makes me laugh, to get a true sense for the quality of a game/movie you have to read about 5 different Magazine reviews and then 5 different Web Reviews.

The overwhelming positive response to GTA 3, Zelda:TWW & Metroid Prime were the only reason that I strayed from my regular gaming diet (& I am so glad that I did).

Let's all hope that AOD and the new TR movie are deserving of MASS praise.

As you know, a mediocre game/movie with a big license may do very well over the first few weeks, but will soon slip from the charts.
A superb game (e.g. GTA) can live on the charts for over a year. The hardcore gamer can easily spot a good game through research and the masses of casual gamers are easily swayed with good/bad press and word of mouth.

Laters...

I just played the demo of it. The camera really stinks!!! During a fighting scene the camera is all over the place. Sometimes it's in front of you, then it's behind. Every time the camera angle changes the controls change. I found it difficult to enjoy.
