Default Lunar Eclipse Tonight!

I think it's supposed to be the first in 3 years and will occur at 11:40 pm EST.

Quote:
This event is a total eclipse of the Moon which will be visible from North and South America as well as Europe, Africa and Antarctica.
... so get ready to stay up for it!

It's cloudy! But I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a bit of clearing.

It'll be 5 AM. I'll set the alarm, but I might kill it & return to Morfeus... Early mornings don't mix well with working late evenings!

I saw it !!! The clouds broke about 11:30 - not very red - which is good - the redder, the more pollution in our air !!!

It was actually a clear night in San Francisco last night, and I had a good view of the last half of the eclipse.

Very cool, and always reminds me how rather...tiny...the struggles and worries of Homo Sapiens seem in comparison to the vastness of the cosmos.

Oh fiddlesticks! I missed it too!

There were patches of clear sky a half an hour before the event as the clouds moved by.

Of course, when it came time for the eclipse, it was so cloudy with rain clouds, I couldn't see the moon!

Dang it!
