My TRIII & Lost artifact games are going crazy!
At first (When I bought the games) none of the movies would ever play, but now for some unknown reason the FMV and cut-sceen movies would play. But now once the main movies are finished, the menu starts going in cerciles. Round and round, like when you are holding down the left or right botton on the key board. Usualy this is no big deal and all you have to do is load a game and pull out a flare or die. But this time when I loaded a game Lara was going round and round! She was headed backwards and left at the same time. I tried everything in the game but she would'nt stop. Lost artifact and TRIII are doing this. I tried resting my computer but it still would'nt work. Has anyone else incountered this problem?? And if so, how can I get Lara to stop so I can continue play TRIII again ______ Alias56 |

Do you have a joystick or gamepad installed? Unplug it and see what happens.

I've seen the phenomenon a couple times, with TR2&3 - but was never able to duplicate it and/or find out the reason. Try a re-install.

I think I can help. I am an expert on TR3, if i say so myself
.Find the file called "TR3 Prefs" on your computer, and delete it. Don't worry, it will not destroy saved games or anything like that. What it does is erase all things done to the game itself, usually in the "Setup" file or the menu ring inside the game. It will basically get the game back into default mode. Once you have deleted "TR3 Prefs," go back and open TR3 itself. A little screen will flash up telling you that it is configuring the settings for the first time, and just say OK. Everything should be back to normal. If it isn't, jso2897 is right, just re-install the game. Hope this helps! |
