My favourite used to be Anniversary, but the reboot just keeps me coming back and I love it the most now!

    Hi

I loved The Last Revelation, but it's had to pick just one.

I'm surprised that so many people liked Angle of Darkness, I never had a computer even years after is came out that it would run smoothly on.

I really liked the graphics on it but it was really glitchy.

Maybe I'll dig it out and try it on my latest computer, if it won't run smooth on that it won't run smooth on anything.

I like the new Tomb Raider but I would rather have the old gameplay with the new graphics.

I hate the button mashing it really takes me out of the game.

I still love the first Tomb Raider game, I started playing it the week it came out.
And I've played it many times since, every way that you can, no health kits only pistols, no save except at the end of chapters etc.

I miss the old ones, I guess I'll play Legend again.

These games really look fantastic in nVidia 3D vision on a 27" 144 Hz monitor, I gives me a reason to play them all again.

As Marta said, best way to play AOD is on playstation. You might've liked it; it was one of the best stories in the entire series. And TR9 is very similar to AOD in some ways

I liked so much even Lara's darker look and the soft spookiness of the story
TR9 as well. Even if I'm not into horror-ish things.
But unfortunately, I am one of the poor souls who play on PC

    Smile I really enjoyed playing....

AOD: Controls were weird, but other than that, Aod was very fun to play and I loved the story line. Game length, was decent to.

Legend: Another one of my favorites. I love the acrobats, riding motorcycles, time trials, and finding Artifacts, and solving puzzles.

Anniversary: Loved the graphics, fun to play, solving puzzles, time trials.

TRU: I loved the graphics, very fun to play, loved the acrobats, and solving the puzzles.

TR9 was a breath of fresh air. But TR3 & TR4 will always hold a special place in my heart.

TR3, as it was the first Tomb Raider I ever played, and it introduced me to gaming in general. Plus, I loved the locations, puzzle/traps difficulty and Lara herself. Plus I still pick it up today and play through it. Not to mention, Lara's Home in that game was the best in the series IMO. It's crazy fun.
I'm not a really a fan of multiple choice polls, so I didn't choose another, but if I had to pick a second favourite it would have to be TR1. I loved the atmosphere in that game. The Atlantan Mutnants sill scare the crap out of me

Tr1 and Tr9 are my favs.

And yes, I have played them all.

AOD was absolute crap IMO, and by far my least fav. Kurtis was annoying as hell to have to play with, and I hated him with every ounce of my gamming soul.

BTW... I think this poll is flawed because not eveyone voting has played every game, so of coarse TR9 will win every time. I think it should be limited to the members that have played every game.

These polls will always be biased towards the latest game. Before TR9, TRU got the most votes. Before TRU, TRA got the most votes, etc.

How on earth would we do that?

Exactly. The released version of AoD may have not even been 20% of what the original idea of the game was, but damn, it's the most atmospheric TR without any doubt Imo

For me, it would have to be Legend, since I was so young I had discovered this beautiful adventurer on a PS2 demo disc that offered a variety of games, which included Legend... I know that game from top to bottom, every nook and cranny, every collectible.

This will always be my favourite Tomb Raider game, it has so many memories for me inside a small, little disc.

Wait, there's no option for freaks like me who prefer Guardian of Light? Or it doesn't count as it's not a "real" Tomb Raider game?
(granted, it doesn't even have "Tomb Raider" in the title)

    You're not a freak!

I am guessing it wasn't included because it's not in the Tomb Raider set of games, it's a whole separate IP. So, no, it's not really considered a Tomb Raider game, just a Lara Croft game.
