Maybe this can help you... When I got the TRLR, I have a 200 Mghz, but the requirement are 250... I bought the game and its worked. If the other component of your computer are Ok, I think you should play it.

That's too bad David, but I think you should have posted this in the AOD forum, you might get some suggestions for how you can improve your PC to aod's standards.

Long time ago I played TR4 with a 133mhz pc while it needed almost the double. I just turned off some graphic effects. Maybe that works on aod too.

as i bought C&Crenegade, everyone said it won't work with my PIII 500 ,coz it needed 550mhz,but i didn't even got to know a bad latency or something,it went fast all the time,so you may buy it without upgrading your PC

Being able to run TRLR on a lower spec than the required came about through the specs being set to the FMV requirements (bink compression is a lot more resource hungry) and not the actual ingame action. The game itself was no different to the earlier TR's (and thus sharing their min specs really) excepting the bolt-on additions like bump mapping and volumetric effects.

This won't be the case with TRAOD at all. It's a new engine that will require the grunt demanded of it in the specs suggested so far (I'm still expecting them to climb a bit more myself --"100 MB" for the install is just a joke really).

I have never seen a game that had a 'minimum' CPU speed that would not run on CPU's lower than that minimum. The minimum is simply a guideline to ensure that you get playable framerates. A 450Mhz is really not that far below a 500Mhz, and hence you should be able to play the game. Your framerates would be no less than 10% better if your processor was 500. However if you have a GeForce Level and above video card, David 070, this is more important. If you don't, then your framerates would be horrible, and hence unplayable.
