Default System requirements - PC version

Can you reveal the system requirements of PC version (minimum and/or recommended)? A few upcoming games, for example Call of Duty: Black Ops II and FIFA 13, won't compatible with Windows XP. Next Hitman also?

Bets regards!

How is it possible to have XP in 2012?
People cried about Vista, okay, it wasn't the best. But what about Windows 7?

No offense, just interested.

Because some people think that XP is fine and most games don't need more than 2GB. The only games that need more than that are "hardcore" games such as Battlefield and Call of Duty. Casual gamers like XP, as it has default support for older, classic games (like the older Hitmans).

I personally saw no problem with XP, Vista or 7. Vista just had minor performance issues which were easily optimized.

Amazon say that Windows XP will be supported: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hitman-Absol...5987092&sr=8-9

Hitman: Absolution, just like Hitman: Sniper Challenge, will not work on Windows XP. Amazon would be incorrect.

I'll make some calls and ask Amazon to correct the platforms.

Thanks for highlighting it to us

Thanks. Could you ask them also about release date of PC Download version? Because it's still "This item will be available to download on December 31, 2012 at 12:00 AM (US/Pacific)", not November 20th: http://www.amazon.com/Square-Enix-41...+absolution+pc

And Travis, do you know if the PC version from Amazon US can be activated in Europe? Won't be any problems with that, region blocks or something? And do you know if DLC from Professional Edition will come as a seperatelly key or will be activated with the game's key? I am wondering if I order standard version (digital) and also Professional, and I get the key on Nov 20th and activate it on Steam, can I still activate on the same account DLC from the Professional Edition when I get the package 2-3 days later? And the key from Professional Edition activate on different account as standard version without DLC?

Sad as the game is multiplatform and not everyone wants to go to new os just to play games that is to shoot yourself in the foot if you askme, stil many users that is on xp for many reasons and to not be able to play a game at minium quality is insane since if u upgrade to new windows u maybe must buy a whole new computer to have power to run newest games. a fine example of a very good looking game even on xp was max payne 3 and with full dx11 support for thoose that have nobody complained i dont see what makes hitman absolution so special that xp couldnt run when 7 year old consoles can run it..

Just upgrade, in 2 years XP will be abandoned by microsoft completely. Windows 7 is just fine and then some. Also it's not the same product you play on the PC that u play on those consoles. The developers opted to use the newer and more efficent DX11 api, in order to deliver high performance gameplay at higher resolution and texture sizes. You don't need a DX11 card for it per say altho some features will require it, but on the software side, for CPU stuff and others you need that API running which does not run under WinXP. If you have a hardware that can run H:A there's no reason to not get Win7.

There will definitely not be a patch for XP. The Glacier 2 engine was build from the ground up on DX10/DX11, which is not available for XP. We recommend you update to a more up to date OS.
