i think this is a very good idea... and will lead to some great situations - it should also give dev's a whole lot of content and ideas for future situations and i think we will see hitman become one of the greatest game series of all time - Absolution will be a major game changer i.m.o

Now I see the reason such ugly colors of instinct - to highlight a bot in the mode for those who hate to use instinct. Very logical!
But more logical is to create one quick event button in form of four buttons of gamepad. Why do not create this in form of full controller or keyboard?

as you see here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxx8y...layer_embedded

at 6:49, that tank....if we kill with that
what will it be listed?
and would the player have to use that for the Hit as well? or can use c4 as well?

sorry for asking but I'm just thinking of ways to kill the main target and creating Hits

I hope my contracts get featured that would be cool. Really looking forward to this. I prefer community created content like this and infamous 2 type over just running around and shooting people. That gets so old. I like to be able to create something and have it be rated by the players.

You could ask how many times he finished it already.

I am a bit concerned about the Contracts mode. I recently read a review from a game magazine that have tried the game. The journalist pointed out that he was not to fond of the scoring system in "Contract mode". Apparently, once the first target is killed, a timer starts and immidiately starts to draw money from the player until he finishes all of the killings. This way you will have to throw away all tactics and start running and gunning, unless you want to fall down to the bottom of the rankings. If this is so in the final release I would personally be very disappointed, and I assume most other people would feel this as an anticlimax too? To me, this game is about staying cool, beeing professinal, taking your time and planning every move, not to rush around like a maniac shooting everyone in your path in a attempt to finish the game before getting killed, or running out of money.

A GOOD TIP TO THE DEVELOPERS: RECONSIDER THIS MOVE, DO NOT SPOIL THE FUN OF THE CONTRACT MODE WITH A TIMER!

You've got it all wrong.
1. It doesn't draw money from the player, it just deducts from their final payment/score.
2. The timer isn't supposed to make you charge towards the next target, it's an incentive to be more calculated about where and how you make the hits. You'll need to time the movements of your targets so you can snipe them simultaneously, or be prepared to strike one just as the another falls into a trap.
3. You can still potentially beat the previous score, even if the timer hits zero, depending on how creative you are with the kill.

So, what did I get wrong? This is more or less exactly as I have explained.
The timer deducts payment/score and such making the player having to hurry up killing the rest of the targets unless he wants to end up with a low score/ranking.

Where is the fun of being forced to time the movements of two totally different targets so that I can kill them at the same time??

3. Yes, but I would still be punished with a low total score because I want to do things in my own pace, and not rushing through the level, which is kind of the main point I was trying to make.

Did you read my second bullet? You need to be patient and prepared. If you can't do that, you deserve the low score.

Yes, I read your second bullet. Did you read my 2nd chapter?

Says who? Why should this the only "correct" way
The targets are not related to each other, so why should I have to be pressured to kill them more or less simultaneous? The way I see it this will reduce the will to kill them creatively because you want to maximize your score.

Also, you wrote:
3. You can still potentially beat the previous score, even if the timer hits zero, depending on how creative you are with the kill.

Answer: No, you can not, this is just something you are assuming. Killing creatively will not give you a higher score, only how fast you complete the assignment will rate your score.

Like I wrote in the first post. What I am writing is based on actual in-game experience from a game magazine journalist, this is not something I am assuming the game to be like.

Couldn't you make it as a standard in Contracts mode that the levels unlock when you played them in Storymode and build in an extra option in Contracts to unlock all levels with an extra Spoiler Warning?

I am SUPER excited that the devs added an option to write a description/optional story for the hits you create. Excellent way to kill time & mess with a buddy being able to make a contract personal or related to somebody or something that's happened/happening in the real world. TY!!

Contracts don't have to be completed ONLY to beat a score. Lots of fun will come from simply trying to take out a near impossible-seeming target, or even just attempting to complete one in totally different manner whilst trying to get a similar/surpass the original score. The options given here are wonderful & its very thoughtful of the team to put them in there. Of coarse beating a score is equally as satisfying as working 3 hours to create your own "perfect" hit.. Outstanding!!

I hope you can turn off the target numbers in Contracts. Just a preference option to have them turned off.

I personally cannot wait for HITMAN: Absolution to be released. First thing i'm going to do is make a few contracts and play other peoples contracts. Haha, then i may play a few missions on campaign. IO, i was thinking, maybe at a later date, have DLC, that may include the sniper case (as many people want) and maybe new weapons or levels that can be used in Contracts. I think this would be a very cool idea.
