Official E3 2012 Ambassador Program

Hello All!

I’m very excited to reveal a community initiative that has been months in the making. In an effort to ensure the Tomb Raider community has representation at E3, we’ve handpicked 17 international representatives to be flown to Los Angles and act as ambassadors to the larger Tomb Raider community.

The goal of the program is to give longtime webmasters press-like status at E3. We’re giving them access to the demo, interviews, and the E3 show floor so that they can best relay impressions and information about Tomb Raider to the larger community.

I think that most of you know Chip Henson, or “Chip5543” as he is known on the forums. Chip has been a dedicated moderator for years now, most often found keeping the Battlestations Midway, Kane and Lynch, Batman, and Just Cause 2 forums neat and organized. He recently added the Tomb Raider forums to his roster, and will be our forum ambassador for E3!

As ambassador Chip will be collecting questions from our community prior to E3, as well as writing up impressions from the show. Here is how the process will work:

E3 Q&A Thread (link): In the Q&A thread you can ask any questions you have for the Tomb Raider team. A number of questions will be picked out and the forum ambassador will ask them directly (face to face!) during his visit to LA. Chip will also keep the second post of the thread updated so you can keep an eye on popular questions.

E3 Demo Thread (link): The demo thread is a place for all of you to give Chip hints about what you’d like him to look for in the demo. This is also where Chip will share his impressions and updates during the show, and a longer format preview of the game post-E3.

E3 General Chat (link): We’re also going to be maintaining the general E3 discussion thread. This will be your one-stop shop for all important E3 information, assets, and your impressions.

o.em.gee (:P) UGH you can't begin to imagine how jealous I am of this. Damn E3 exclusivity.. I'd pay all the money I have to go there (which wouldn't be much xD) Chip, have yourself an awesome time, as well as the other ambassadors and I can't wait to see the new info roll into the forums! or should i say Raid the forums?

(sorry i'm feeling a bit cheesy at the moment)

Yep, that's the idea!

The ambassadors will represent the international fanbase; they will be the "faces" of the community during this year's E3

E3's almost here!

I wanted to provide a bit of warning that I'll be mostly absent from the forums during E3. Keeping tabs on 18 ambassadors + two interpreters, on top of trying to keep our social channels up-to-date is going to be tough! But that's what Chip is for. I'll try to pop in if I can, but I promise to come back and dig through all your thoughts and impressions after the show. I'm excited to read about what you think!

Now to go home. I haven't left the office in 48 hours. 0_o

Jeez. I wouldn't want to be you this week... Unless you're getting paid a butt load of money in which case I would - If I was on a very regular caffeine dose.
