Can't you see over her left shoulder? It's really swishy like Alices' in Alice:Madness Returns! This has really numbed the pain for the released date being pushed back. I thought I wouldn't make it to E3

Games like bioshock infinite and Far Cry 3 will sure set up the bar.
Especially the jungle in Far Cry 3 ,just Blows.

Dino said it's a walki talki. I myself think it's probably a GPS.

I LOVE this new screenshot!!! The level of detail is impressive! I specially love her hands! It's probably the first time Lara's hands have actually been this realistic! And of course, her hair!! I LOVE it!!!

As for the device on her belt, I think it's a walkie talkie.

Correct me if I'm wrong ('cause I don't know that much of how GPSs work) but if it was a GPS, besides giving her her current coordinates what else would be the use of it? I mean, for it to have a map of the island wouldn't someone have to chart it and have it available on the GPS receiver's database??? This is probably stupid but I really don't know! XD

Regardless, I think it looks more like a walkie talkie than a GPS receiver!

just wondering if this is the finished product. sure looks good so far. but it looks to me like there is some gray tone, because the colors dont look so sharp. could it be they are still working on the graphics.

that that device is a walkie talkie. used to have them when i did security and being on the farm. looks just like what i used to have. mine were short wave radios that could cover a 1km radius.
never saw a GPS with such a small screen. you can clearly see that it has a small antenna and right next to it is the volume weel, wile the buttons are used to change the frequency. and some walkie talkies have the talk button on the front, not always on the side as many think.

One thing about that screenshot, is it's in daylight. Someone was saying in the other thread that this was nighttime, but it's not. You can see the sun on Lara's shoulder and on her outstretched arm. What little of the sky is there is sky blue.The jungle seems pretty dense. It's cutting off a lot of light, but there's definitely sunlight there.

And who would have thunk she would get her bow that way?

The screenshot is very much improved from last year's E3. Almost similar to Assassin's Creed III graphics:

But still lot to improve by the time launch to have as good graphics as Uncharted 3, I hope TR will surpass UC3's graphics. Looking forward to E3 demo.
