Hitman Sniper Challenge?

I went to Gamestop today to Pre-Order Hitman Absolution and I saw in game informer an ad that if you pre order it you get a code for the sniper challenge. Well i went there did the pre-order and when i asked if they had the code for a sniper challenge they said i get a rifle when i get the game. So?? I am confused! Help!

yeah! there's an ad in game informer and it says if you pre order it you get a code to play a game where you snipe and stuff.

^ there we go ^ I called up like 3 other gamestops and they give me the same , that all there is on the list is a rifle i get when i pick up the game.

The one thing to note is that they are starting to advertise the game in magazines now. This is the first actual advertisement I've seen for the game so far rather than previews, so this might mean that the game is getting closer to a release date.

i think by replayable sniping mission ... all it means is that there is a sniping mission in the game... and you can replay it as many times as you want... just like the past games... and i dont think it will be a special mini-game or soemthing like that... only that you will receive the limited sniiper rifle :/

That's what I thought but it says you pick up the code for the sniper challenge right when you pre order it and you get the code for the rifle when you pick up the game. So I think there is a mini-game.

I've had the same problem at my game stop, I do think it is a mini game for the simple fact that it says pre order Hitman Absolution and pick up a code for the sniper challenge at the time of pre order and start competing today, the guy at game stop told me that sense the game informer is the June issue that the sniper codes may not start to come out until June, which makes sense, plus I think IOI will most likely talk about it at E3, which is in June.

I hope this doesn't mean they're pushing for a "30 hours of gameplay!!!" approach when only like 8 hours of it is campaign stuff and 22 hours are pointless challenges......

Anyone know if you can order it anywhere other then Gamespot? (It's a site from the USA, right? I'm Dutch) I like sniping so I'd like to play this extra mission. I looked it up on Dutch sites but apparantly no extra sniping is in the Proffessional Edition for the Netherlands.

I just hope there isn't locked content on the disc. If they seriously pull a capcom, my pre-order is cancelled.

^^ I don't think that's the case, it is probably something you will download before the game comes out.

But I agree, Capcom really lock 50% of the game on disc, I won't buy Resident Evil 6 till they release the Golden Edition 6 months later, cause I don't want to waste my money.
