no sound using a gamepad (tomb raider 3)

hi,

im running tomb raider 3 on windows 7 and when i start the game with my gamepad pluged in there will be no sound in the menu or ingame. i copied te whole disk contend to the directory on my harddrive and patched the game with no luck.

what can i do? without the gamepad everything is just working fine...

I have the same problem running windows 8 plug in 360 controller no sound.. I was wondering if the sound is being played through the headset.. but no it's not just no sound please help....

it's really a pain to play the game unable to hear anything

found out it was the controller I switched to the Batman Batarang 360 controller and it's working fine
