Thief: The Dark Project in HD on modern mac hardware

Im trying to do something that was never meant to be done, play Thief: The dark project in HD resolution on a mac (BootCamp). So far it has gone well, ive gotten the game to run very smoothly and it looks great. The problem is getting into the game. When it is first started it wants to go to the 640 by 480 resolution. That's fine since its just the menus but that causes a lot of video errors. Like the fact that all the video freezes and only the sounds continues but the mouse keyboard and everything else still work forcing me to alt-tab constantly to update the picture so i can see where the next button is. Once i get the game started it switches to the all glorious 1360 by 768 resolution that I want. Does anyone know if there is a way to change the default menu resolution in the games folder so that my dream can be complete? Thanks!

Search for the fanmade patch "ddfix" or "TafferPatcher". These should fix the resolution mess pretty easily.
