CTD after injuring someone (i.e.: blood is displayed coming from a person)

really annoying problem i have with this game. I got past the 1st 2 missions ok, but then after completing them, i turned off my computer, then when i started the game again, i grappled a guard off a boat & the game just crashed. i started it again,& i shot someone on the face & the game crashed again. i think it's to do with the blood, as the game crashes at the same time the blood effects should show.
