Buggy Moments in Games

It was in the original Assassin's Creed. I don't have the game anymore or a picture but the game froze on me, yet I was able to only move the camera around when Altair was running downhill outside of the castle after either receiving a mission from the old man or continuing the mission I was doing.

I had reset the console and it still occurred again in another different area.

Heh, so, after the first thug was knocked out, the second one was dispatched, and he fell on top of the first. In doing so, half of his body fell into and melded with the first thug. The firs thud's head disappeared entirely and their bodies almost kind of work, in a really bad failed-mad-scientist-experiment kind of way

You know, I forgot to take an image in time the other day when Batman fell through the world. You get to see the entire Arkham City above and it's pretty huge, like Batman is falling/flying in space and the world looms above him. Shame I missed the shot on that one.

i guess rocksteady should add those lines in detective mode just in case of such .... situations ..... xD

no worries i assume this is somehow similar as the Batman a Giant killed me and i .... well u can see it here : you see that fire camp down there ? that's where i was killed xD

lol, well, sort of. Looks like you're floating upward, oddly. Bats fell through the floor of the world and into nothing but blackness, with the world above him. He fell for a good four-five minutes. So, the world really got to look above like a planet in orbit. The game finally allowed him to die, though, heh.

It was a console version and even with the updated patch, it did not resolve anything so it was obviously the game itself.

It's bizarre how "completely made" games still require patches afterwards in this generation of gaming.

Yup. We on the PC end kind of expect them by now, but the absolute need to finish the games after they've gone gold has spilled over to consoles. Welcome to our world (For better, or worse...)

Yeah, it's actually pretty inexcusable, really.

I remember one time in Arkham City, when Two Face shot me, Batman somehow ended up floating upwards and out of the courthouse.

I figured that the falling through the world bug would happen again, and it did!

I didn't get the huge planet shot of AC, but I just started to get the curvature of it in the right hand corner. I also got Catwoman falling through the veritable space. However, the game didn't allow me to alt tab out of it again, and I wasn't using FRAPS, so I could only get these two shots. I am sure it will happen again and I'll finally get the Gotham as a world/globe shot I mentioned And yes, she'll fall and fall, until eventually you can frame all of Gotham into the shot like a picture of the world. It's one giant planet, kind of reminding me of War for Cybertron's Cybertron, heh.

And you're looking through the floor of Gotham, though it does look like the sky in that swirly yellowish part.

He's just resting a spell

Before I blew out the wall here in this door frame, I had Batman beat him down, then when he knocked him out, his body went through the still intact wall, where he apparently became fixed there. Blowing up the wall didn't even phase him, heh.

Another weird thing happened that I couldn't get pics for. I was taking Bats to tell Bane he'd destroyed all of the errant Titan out there, when I witnessed an inmate inexplicably decide to run to the edge of the roof he was on ... and jump off into the freezing water below! He committed suicide right before my eyes! There are a group of inmates always outside of Bane's place there, and none of them ever should be doing that, lol!

It looked for a moment like your character was reaching up to the other to get pulled up, or vice/versa. Now I see the hand placement for some shotgun, probably

I remember falling through the floor in Assassin's Creed too. Which also reminds me of this weird glitch in it. If you have in on Xbox 360 it should work (that's the version I have. I don't know if it'll work for computer or PS3). At the part near the end of the game, there's a certain target you go after (trying not to spoil), and you see an army of Crusaders marching in the distance. So anyway, if you play it with the controller plugged in, you might get this glitch (a wireless controller is the way to make the glitch not happen). Altair will be running along the path like usual, only there are no enemies, and eventually you reach a point where he'll fall through the earth and desynchronize, now here's the fun part. When you come back, there will be TWO Altairs, and you're controlling them both! What's funny is that you can actually assassinate yourself! It's so stupid and funny. And yes, if you kill that second Altair, you'll desynchronize, only to be stuck in a never ending cycle.

I love how the enemies, when they aren't totally being cheap in hitting you from an unseen corner, or behind you, they can sometimes get stuck. This rat can't seem to go past this point, so he just stares, looking like he's begging for food, or something.

Batman's look here in his idle animation is great, like "Uh oh... I did a bad, bad thing here..."

I had to reread my post to see what you were talking about comparting Altair to Raziel. Heh, never ending cycle.
I love that second picture. It looks to me like the guy was thinking "Ha! There's Batman! I'll get him!" Then he runs for Batman to kill him, and slams into a pole like from some Bugs Bunny cartoon or something. I haven't played that game (I'm planning on getting the Game of the Year edition soon though since I played Arkham Asylum and really liked it), so I'm not really sure what's going on in that picture.

In reality, Batman just beat the tar out of this thug and his pals. A lovely bug just made this particular thug "land" inside of this pole after Bats finished him, instead of falling to the ground, like he was supposed to
