Default I find this really annoying

I mean are some of these weapons just shoot bullet out of thin air?

Erm thats the empty shell casings being discarded from the gun, and when shooting around the corner the bullets are simply being shown where they would be coming from the gun during recoil?

I noticed this while playing aswell, and he means visible tracer rounds and muzzle flash above the actual gun barrel. Not a big issue for me though, almost no games get this right, but I guess it's a niggle. Could be easily fixed by moving the muzzle flash and tracer vector down to the gun barrels initial position.

And when firing a gun, the bullet exits the barrel, and you get the muzzle flash (if any) long before the kinetic energy of the explosion moves the barrel up. If recoil actually affected your first shot, you would have to aim well below your target. Off course, this isn't the case.
