Hi there! Before criticizing,i do love this game and eidos montreal did a good job on it on many levels.I actually even went so far, purchasing 2 copies, giving one to a nephew of mine.

ALSO AS I MADE THIS POST EARLIER WHY IT GOT DELETED/MOVED ? I love this game.I bought this game.2 times.IS it bad to ask for something to be fixed/improved ? There are a lot of people including me ,that build good computers to run games like this, only to find this is a straight 360/ps3 port. The ps3 has only 256mb of video memory and the 360 through it can use all of 512 mb for video in reality if you count the os and game engine requirements it has left around the same amount as the ps3 for video memory....
-In contrast the majority of pc video cards have over 1gb of video memory and good cards like a 480gtx,570/580gtx etc.. have 1.5 up to 3 gb of video memory running with Gddr5 or even 6 grade memory...

But....I cannot believe HOW neglected the pc version of the game is...I played for a little bit,to see how it runs on my computer. And yes it has a DX11 render but for the shake of it ,it could have been a dx9.....It runs great,at full 1920x1200 with full aa ,af etc...yet wherever i look i see low resolution textures.Sometimes it does not matter much, but seeing them over screens, posters and books really takes away from the immersion....

Also the video cinematics are very compressed ,leading to a significand color loss on top of being of lower resolution than the resolutions of the majority of us will play the game as it runs perfectly at 1920x1080....

-If any of the devs read this ,please pretty please try to improve at least a part of those textures and release the uncompressed cinematics so we could swap them with the 720p compressed ones....

I know it still is a hell of a game and i am nitpicking but.....For God's Shake ,you worked all those years and you cannot work for a week or two to improve those horrible textures that stick out like a sore thump ?

[Merge edit]

Well a response would be nice...If the moderator had time to move this thread from the general page ,could anybody from the devs (Or the moderator...) mention if there will be a texture update ? For a lot of people this is something important....

I really don't know how to respond to this...I love the game ,but any critique here is either ignored or moved/deleted....I could speak for a day mentioning good things about this game, but its not perfect and its shortcomings could be easily fixed. So why all this negativity?

At this point it is difficult to comment. A hi-res pack could be in the works, it could not be in the works. I'm not in a position to announce, and so those waiting will not be getting a confirmation one way or the other until there is something concrete to say.

That said, the desire for higher-res textures & cinematics has not been ignored or forgotten!

Thanks for writing back Jerion.A honest responce means a lot and i thank you for this.I know you cannot discuss what the developers are currently doing but i sincerely hope if they themselves don't read the forums,at least you could inform them about what their fanbase and customers want them to improve.I know some of the team still works on the expansion pack so as long the game is still being worked on i hope those improvements could become a reality.

All in all Deus ex hr is a great game and through still not as good as the original it still manages to bring back the feeling i had while playing the original deus ex and end as a much much better game than Invisible War -a great feat in itself having in mind ion storm had ex-looking glass employees ,which in my book were the greatest game programmers of all time.
It is not perfect in any way, missing a lot of small features here and there that could make it an even more unforgettable experience (mirrors, atms, more interactivity like light switches, telephones etc..),yet it still manages to bring an amazing world to life and make you forget about all those short commings while playing.

-But the graphics is the only part i was let down constantly and i couldn't forget. And it is not that they are bad, because from an art direction they are bloody amazing,it is just that i am playing on a gaming pc and i expected something incredible and here it is something that looks like i have hooked my ps3 on my pc monitor...Playing with dx11 doesn't do anything to hide those very low res textures. And i would like for some better character animations, especially during combat and on faces expressions while talking.I know those are very difficult to do so i don't ask about them. But the things that can be fixed like hd textures ,bug fixing like the stuttering bug(to be honest on my pc the game runs perfect),releasing uncompressed cinematics so the game has a more cohesive look while playing and add nvidia 3d support.
