Question DeusEx 3 font
Hi all im new here.
Sorry if this was posted before but search option didn't return anything.
Im looking for font that was used in trailer teaser in the end for Deus Ex 3 sign. I try google and other search engines with no success so i have to make my own font. And here is the second question is the original font copyrighted ? can i make my font and release it as freeware?

Ok now i have all letters and numbers, still i need to tweak some of them and make other characters form keyboard.

I didn't get them i made them. I use trialer characters as reference some of the characters, numbers etc. didn't appear in trialer so i have to made them from scratch so they all follow the same pattern.

Or you could just download it from 1001freefonts :P they have the font that Deus Ex 3 uses (all of them including the code on Emiles arm).

1001freefonts.com - duh

search the database because its really big.. look in the computer and scifi sections. They have a few variants though so its difficult to pick the RIGHT one since the D looks the same but the X doesn't, I'm thinking the X might be custom.

Did you try to say that i rip somebodys font and state its made by me? And you could at least give names of fonts.

BTW Emiles arm is Alpha Sentry as for DX3 font didn't find anything usefull or maybe im blind.

No I was trying to say that you wasted your time when the font was available on the net anyway. I found the font but I don't recall its name.

I don't give a damn about the font since I have more important things to worry about. Its not hard to find.

Well I took a look at all the pages, and there are very similar fonts, but none exactly alike. I took the closest one I could find, which is Astrolyte, and modified it to look like the Deus Ex 3 logo. I edited the font in flash and then saved it as a .ai. You can open the .ai in photoshop and change the size you want the text to be, then copy it and paste it into another window you want the text in.

Here is an example:


You can download the .ai file here.

If you do make that into a font, Foxh0und, that would be the best thing we could have.

Ok i got the font working this screen was taken in text editor any suggestions? maybe i should add other charactres to font ? scale some charactres ? etc. before i release it.

W00T! Thanks for all your hard work! Looks good to me. I think you might need to save the file in a .zip instead of a .7z. Not everyone uses 7zip. Good thing I DO!

Hmm, I know it's slightly off-topic perhaps, but while we're discussing fonts, anyone know where one can find the fonts for the previous Deus Ex games? I kinda like the fonts in the Playstation version of Deus.
