Bug = unable to complete "Motherly Ties" quest

A scan of the forum here and other locations (e.g., Gamefaqs) shows that there are several people experiencing this problem.

Havng completed all of the quest tasks, we have heading back to talk to Mrs. Reed in the lobby of the Chiron building. We are able to selct the three options to debrief on the quest, but at the completion of the third selection/option, the game goes into a lockdown. The screen keeps switching back between Adam & Mrs. Reed, like they are having a conversation. The dialogue "diamond" is empty, but no options can be selected. Pressing Tab, Escape, etc do not work. The only thing that can be done is reload from last save.

The happens regardless of restarting a save game. I have even completed other quests and come back to this one, but the problem continues. I can provide a save game file if that helps.

Just saying i also have the glitch. I am waiting for a patch before skipping/completing the quest

Have this bug too, can't complete the mission, on the PS3 console.

I have the same Problem.

Game Build is 1.1.622.0 (PC)

When I talk to her in the apartment complex after following all the
clues / leads, I have 3 conversation options:

Medical Examiner, Witness and Identification.

There isn't any glitch or bug in Dues Ex. The reason you are not able to complete the mission is because you are not getting the info from Wagner. If he tells you to get lost so to speak that means you need to do more and go back to him to get him to confess and give you the necessary info you need to complete the mission. If you go through the front door at the police station he will probably tell you to get lost unless you completed the mini tasks first. If he tells you to get lost go back out the front door otherwise you will never complete the mission. Be sure to keep checking the sidebar tasks to make sure you can still get the info from him. If getting info isn't availabe anymore/grayed out and not checked off, he won't be in the lobby anymore and you won't be able to complete Motherly Ties. Just because you meet him in the lobby and he tells you to get lost or else isn't all you need, you need to get him to confess. You will probably have to see him twice like I had to do. If you do do too much, getting the info will be grayed out and not checked off. you will have to start over at a save prior to that task still being available. This is what I had to do. When you return to Mrs. Reed you will have 4 items to talk about not 3. MERCS was the one I was missing when I thought the game screwed up. Once I got the info from him it completed just fine when I returned to her. It's funny because I actually brought the game back to target and exchanged it for a new one and it did the same thing until I did it right. There is a video on youtube that shows the conversation between Jensen and Wagner. If you conversation doesn't go like that then that's what you are missing.

Same problem here.

I've knocked out Chet Wagner accidently when I entered the Police Station stealthily. I can accept that because of this I won't get full points on finishing S2 Motherly Ties sidequest. OK.

Still the bug is there and the game glitches/freezes forever in limbo when talking to the mother at the end of the quest. This should never be the case.

Awaiting patches for this glitch/freeze soon; I'm on Xbox 360. Thanks al lot!
