You realize these puzzles are costing Eidos money. They have to brainstorm and implement these things. I am not sure just how complex we can expect this treasure hunt to become.

To the people who are convinced that the game is still going on because of the login not going away when you enter the old username/password, I can explain that to you.

First, there will certainly be more, but not likely until Sunday September 4th at 04:28:56. Look at the image, it says the day of the week and the time. And the 4 in Security 4 is very noticeable. Do you really think that it's a coincidence that September 4th is on a Sunday? The truth of the mater is, the original puzzle was solved much faster than they expected it to and now we just have to wait for the next part.

Now for the explanation as to what is causing the confusion. If you can find a flaw in my logic then feel free to tell me, but just think it through. The original login screen had a symbol to identify its location. The "new" login has no symbol and is in fact in the exact same location on the page as the original. You never change pages when you use the login, so the page's scripts remain the same. It is likely set to function as: When secret location pressed, display login. If login info is incorrect or entry status is "entered", then clear login box. If login info is correct and entry status isn't "entered", then close login box, set entry status to "entered", and change image.
So you then click the same location again and the login panel opens, but since the system doesn't clear the "entered" status when the image changes, it will always treat it like you have entered the incorrect login info no matter what you enter.

Learn basic coding principles and you can more easily identify between a secret button and flawed coding.

That's what I'm saying, the date portion of the announcement is november 13th, not that the announcement will be on nov 13. I'm thinking this may end up being a few different puzzles each one a different part of the announcment.

As for the sdk I doubt that. Otherwise why would they be sending that message to all copies of the game. That'd be a pc only type of thing. Not saying it's not coming, it may be included in whatever it is. just not the primary of the announcment.

I would have thought this would be posted by now, but I haven't yet seen it: 11/13/33 is not just a date, it's a supposed freemason signature.

Here comes the crazy

It has already been posted before wingbreaker, with that exact same link.

My money is on a DLC announcement/release on Sunday the 4th. I think the "SUN" and "4" are pretty obvious clues toward this. The DLC will likely take place in the 3 "off the radar" days between Hengsha and Singapore. It will likely have something to do with Belltower, and perhaps a tie-in to the Icarus Effect novel.

As for the time -- might be a 4am release, but I'd guess the time is probably irrelevant.

I didn't see that before. it may be the 4th. Also didn't know about the free mason sig. I suppose I spoke a bit hastily there.

Gonna make a part 5 tomorrow, adding all the speculation and theories people are discussing right now on internet forums.

Well if Eidos idea was to get as many people as possible talking about the game..They sure accomplished that.

I wonder how long until we get a proper idea on what the entire thing is.

Am I the only one that just assumed the 4 was something about Security Clearance.

At least it says so on the picture.

It's entirely possible that 4 is just something about security clearance. But there's no way that all of this is ending with just that picture, so the picture has to point to something. It already says a day of the week and a time, and 4 just happens to be the date of next Sunday. I'm sure that we all hope that anything they do isn't going to be later than next Sunday, so Sunday the 4th just adds up. However, as I already said, the 4 could simply be coincidence. Of course, when did Deus Ex ever deal with mere coincidences.

Default Hanger 18 Reference

I'm watching Hanger 18 on Netflix. Right after the scientists decode the alien's library, the boss is explaining the contents of the Earth book. It is the same as the Chariots of the Gods book. Aliens have been here a long time, they took pre-human ancestors as slaves, and impregnated some of the females. The current human race are their offspring. The boss then says, "They are the missing link!"

Code cracking. Secret history. Hanger 18 code in the game. It's all connected man... :P

Personally hoping for a Deus Ex MMORPG.

wow that is very interesting! this announcement might be something about the "Grays".

Also a Deus Ex MMO would be crazy

WAIT I JUST HAD A WILD THEORY

What if Jensen's DNA is special because he was given DNA extracted from the Grays at Roswell. JENSEN IS AN ALIEN!

Not sure if it has been mentioned but there is a very clear message on the main page of the tower website.

For those who read the Deus Ex Icarus book:

See the sticky note on the top of the book? It say "BSAX 081-C" Geneva. Ben Saxon was a character in the book who helped in foiling the Illuminati's assasination plot against William Taggart which was to go down in Geneva.

Yeah, that was one of the first thing people noticed when finding that site. The original belief was that the login is his, but since then other theories have popped up such as it being one of the Tongs', and someone even thought maybe JC Denton.

Been following this earlier tonight only just got moderation to post here. Well done everybody, I remember shouting at the screen that urulu was the username, you guys were only a minute behind. Question is what is the missing link?
Cant wait for the next part of this, hopefully I'll be able to participate a bit more this time. I didn't think they expected it to be solved that fast.

This has been almost as much fun as the game, congrats to eidos for sucking us into this nonsense!

The "missing link" sounds like it'll be a connection to Helix labs, how did Jensen come to be. Also he was obviously fired from the force and hired by Sarif because of his DNA so how did Sarif find Jensen in the first place and know he was special? If I've worded that correctly...

Would anyone consider the possibility that we may be looking at the work station of Janus, the mysterious hacker that assisted Saxon? The laptop certainly looks like something Janus would have.

Your thoughts?

I personally haven't read the book, but I don't think that possibility was mentioned. I do know that people thought it might be Pritchard's computer.

Well if you followed the whole line of posts up until this post you would see I already made that point ...not convincing the ones who where asserting that it was not over..and this was just another point to reinforce that.

i agree completely. javascript can be flaky and if they didnt code the login screen to disappear after the first attempt when the page reloads it disappears but the invisible button is still there. basically the last image and the initial desk image are on the same "plane" as it were in the javascript world. its just an error in coding. there is going to be more ARG stuff but that login def doesnt have anything to do with it
