No, all of my components are at stock settings. apparently the game bluescreens because of my AMD FX processor. If its something simple to fix or not I have no idea. But the fact this is a fairly new game and they just have given up on it is incredibly frustrating.

It's plain and simple that the coding for this game is very poorly optimised and it's clear the developer/publisher are done with trying to resolve the issue...

Hello,
I really started enjoying this game.. And when I got to the fight with Barret, he killed me. Then after loading the game all my save games looks like this http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/3...2011600011.jpg What's wrong? What should I do? Tried reinstalling the game, dx9- and dx11-mode. Please help me! This is really a great game and I would really like to finish it |

I've come back to this game again some months after first buying, and it still won't play for more than 10-15 mins in dx11. It just hangs and crashes, freezing. Usually, it won't get past that particular point in the game in dx11 if I restart, which suggests it may be some particular graphics feature...?
dx9 = absolutely fine. dx11 = absolutely fine in other games, e.g. never had a single problem with Crysis 2 using the dx11 patch, hardly a graphics-lite game. Is anyone else still having this problem? I seem to read about it happening to a lot of people. Have Eidos done anything about it? I've seen no updates - though should I unistall/reinstall? In dx11, the game runs much faster. Without, I have to turn off pretty much every setting. My system: i7 950 Mobo: gigabyte UD3R 6 gig ram Asus radeon directCU 6850 |

First thing first. Very pathetic of you guys and Eidos to not have a clear link to contacting you guys. It's unbelievable that I have to actually create an account here in order to get some help(If there is any).
Second. I love this game, but it's been 5 months now and I still haven't finished it. Why? Because among all my 40 Steam titles, this game choose to crash to desktop every 5,10,30, or 60 mins. I have like 5 other games(Skyrim, SWTOR, WoW, Rift, DA2, Mass Effect 2, BF3 --- well more than 5) installed at this moment and NONE of them do this to me, but this game. Now, it's pretty clear that it's not my system if I can play other games just fine, for hours, without any crashes. I paid for this game so I can play it, not get crashed to desktop frequently. So help me out please. My system specs are: 120GB SSD(For OS) 1 TB HDD(Games etc) Asus Maximus IV Extreme On-board Sound Intel Core i7 2600k @ stock speed 8GB DDR3@1600 EVGA 570GTX Superclocked - I have played around with the voltage and clocks, but nothing so far, unless, there is a specific clock and voltage for this game... Every driver that is out there for my setup is up to date, trust me. Thanks for any possible help.... :/ Last edited by spattan; 02-01-2012 at 09:14 PM. |

I just joined these forums and noticed this sticky after posting my complaint about the game. So I am not the only person here with crashes. I am going to wait on a response for my original thread and if not I am going to try to somehow find a number or something to talk Eidos and see if I can get a refund. Not being able to get through a game for 5 months because of stupid crashes is ridiculous.

I doubt anyone of them even comes to this place anymore. Support is none-existant here since the last patch (in october). You might have better luck writing them through the support channels on Eidos.com (scroll down to the bottom of their page), although they will probably just tell you to update your drivers. |

Not only that, but the DX11 modes are badly optimised. DX9 plays, but runs awful with bad frame rate issues. It's a NO-WIN-SITUATION. Good luck! |

Hi guys,
I'm experiencing a crash similar to the one people experience with DX11 enabled. When the game first came out, I used to get crashes while loading up a save file but could usually use task manager to get out. After some driver updates, I now get crashes to the point I have to reset the computer. When I restart, usually I receive windows recovered from a Bluescreen error. I reformatted my system and tried DX11 on and off with no luck. Also tried current and the latest beta drivers. My relevant system specs are these: Core 2 Quad Q6600 Asus P5Q-E Board Asus GTX460 768mb 4GB OCZ Gold DDR2-800 2x Velociraptor 150gb RAID-0 SB X-Fi XtremeMusic Logitech MX5500 Keyboard Logitech G700 Mouse I scanned for viruses, and all drivers up to date. I also tried the volt trick using the MSI Afterburner software with no luck. I wanna finish this great game and you guys are all having the same issue as me! |

Im a huge fan of Deus Ex. Was really looking forward to this game. I bought the extra expensive version on steam, with extra content. But you disappoint me.
Whenever i try to start the game, it opens to a black screen. I have to ctrl+alt+del to get out of it, and it then says the game has stopped working. The crash file gives me a meaningless code "0xC0000005". If i try windowed mode or remove dx11 - it just crashes instantly. Ive tried admin mode, compatibility mode and all the stuff hundreds of players have tried. No luck. ![]() I have a brand new Asus G53S computer. It has 12 GB of ram, a quad core Intel core I7, and a Geforece GTX 560 m card with 2 gb. I still love you, and still have a little faith in you. So please, please, please dont give me the bs standard reply. It can happen at any point in the game.
I could be playing for an hour or less and the game freezes and I hear the sound looping over and over again and I have to press the power button twice to turn off the console. I noticed when loading up the title screen that the sound loops for a while aswell. I have a white xbox 360 from november 2006. Is it a bug in the game? Does anyone else experience this or is it just me? Is there anywhere I can contact Eidos directly to try and get it sorted? I tried clearing my cache and that didn't help either. |

Since i'm trying to play using DirectX 11 this game has turned into a nightmare. Played the entire game before using my older graphics card (HD 4890) flawlessly. The HD 4890 has no DirectX 11 support, so i played the game using DirectX 10. Since the change to a newer HD 7850 and DirectX 11 things screwed up.
Does anybody tried this?: http://log.spendernet.com/?p=109 I'm very reluctant about trying any voltage modification, but i'm curious about the results. |

I wrote this a year ago:
"I've been struggling with this for a few days now and I can't seem to find anyone with the same problem here or anywhere, but I have gotten to Panchaea in the PS3 version of the game and have run into something that absolutely does not let me proceed. It happens at the first elevator you have to take AFTER the glitched door lots of people have said froze their game just by looking at it. Every time I get to the elevator (Jenson starts to say something to Prichard but it never fully loads, you'll see why in a sec.) next to room with the burning truck, the elevator will start to ride up. At which time, all of the following happens: when the elevator gets to the top and the door opens, the level fails to load and all that can be seen is endless brownish-pink void. I can see some seagulls flying around off in the distance but nothing else and as soon as I step off the elevator, the game freezes up and have to reset my system (Trying to load a previous save at this point also causes the game to freeze). Also at some point during the ride up, the music begins repeating the last seconds worth over and over and I can't change weapons. If I one in my hand before I pushed the elevator button and I put it away on the ride up, the game won't let me re-equip either. I can ride the elevator back down but every time I make my way back to the helipad I still see the same brown/pink nothing and just a few smaller graphic effects like the seagulls or smoke from the helicopters. Rode the elevator back down and went back through the level, through the large circular vent at the beginning of the level and everything but the exterior of the two side buildings and the matte image of the icecaps and such below is missing from the first elevator ride up. No helipad no choppers no crates nothing. Like it was never there, but I jumped down and landed on something as if it were. Moved around and could tell when I was getting burned by all the fire on the level but could not see it or anything else. Just a whole lot of things are going wrong and I can't progress any further in the game. I've reloaded a save as far back as the Picus level and worked my way back and still have this problem. I even went to a Redbox to see if the disc was just defective, but both have done this to me. I've posted a video of what I'm talking about so you can see. Pardon the tired sounding narration. Here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eFqw8iKg588&sns=em Thanks." I've posted this on game breaking issue unlike anything else that has been discussed on these forums about this issue almost a year ago. I had all but abandoned any idea of finishing the game, but recently made another attempt thinking that this problem would be fixed. Of course, it hasn't. Its still doing the exact same thing and I am still unable to finish this game and instead of just being frustrated, I'm am now beyond angry. What gives? When is this kind of stuff going to get fixed and why was it allowed to shipped out with such a awful game breaking bug that totally ruins the game? |

I bought this game during the steam summer deals and have the problem of CTD whenever i choose the left dialog option. Yet i also have a problem where the game will not start with the current version so i have to use an older model, so the recommended "delete .exe file and verify integrity of game cache" is not an option unless the game gets updated again.
My drivers are all updated BTW. So far i have not seen any one else with my problem. |

Can anyone help me with this
The game runs fine to start with, then the more i play, the lower the FPS gets and it gets laggy, after about 2 minutes its un playable. as soon as i change weapon, the FPS goes back to normal and starts the cycle again. also tabbing out and into the game, this resets the cycle too. i have had the game for a few months and when i first got it, it was fine, never a problem, then i downloaded the missing link expac last week and the issue started. anyone know how to fix? |

I have been having problems with a game I just purchased "Deus Ex Human Revolution". When I play the game after 5 to 45 mins the game crashes. There have been four different things happening when it crashs, most recent time it crashed I got a message from my Nvidia geforce taskbar icon saying geforce had stopped working but it was able to start again or something along those lines. Other times I have crashed to the desktop I get the system message window asking if I want to close the program or check online for fixes, when I expand the bottom to get more details it says either d3d11.dll or dxhr.exe are the files that cause the issue - this was the most common before I reformatted my computer. Finally sometimes the program froze up and I had to restart the machine. I only tested the game once after the reformat and I got that message from the geforce program in the taskbar, this did happen before the reformat as well but it was not common.
I have tried everything that steam recommended I do this included, redownloading the game, redownloading steam, checking the integrity of the games files, download latest drivers and windows updates, run steam/dxhr.exe in admin mode, disable directx 11, lower settings, various older geforce drivers. None of that worked. My last option was reformatting my hard drive and try the game again. After the reformat was when I got the "geforce card had stopped working" message. I have ran a few video card memory stress tests, out of the 6 or 7 I have used only one came up with errors. I am unsure if to trust that result because I have ran Diablo 3 with max settings just fine. I also have had no other issues with the system as far as I can tell, blu ray movies run fine and I have not seen any artifacts. My next step is to try another steam program I just purchased and also run a RAM stress test and see if that picks up any errors. Any ideas on how to diagnose what is going on and how to fix it? I know it is not the game because I loaded the game onto and older pc and the game played fine for the 2 days I tested it. My system: Intel core i7 3500k 16gb ddr 3 ram 1600 evga gtx 670 ftw 2 ssd in a raid 0 array If I can supply any logs or any other info please let me know. |

Interestingly, I yesterday had some similar issues with DXHR that I think may be linked to the new NVidia driver. I had installed the newest WHQL release (306.23), but when playing DX, after some amount of time (sometimes instantly, sometimes after as long as 30 min) I would get heavy stuttering and have to stop the program via task manager. After getting a driver-reset error in another game as well, I went back to the previous Beta driver. However, Furmark worked fine, as did a few other games I quickly tested. So far with the pervious driver it didn't crash on me. It might very well be coincidence though - I had only time to test DXHR for about 30-40 minutes today before going to work, so I can't be sure yet. Still it seems to me that maybe this is some problem with the new NVidia driver (but you said you did test other older drivers, although I guess you are somewhat limited with a 6xx card). If the problem persists with the beta driver, I will switch to an even older one - I hadn't played much DX in the last weeks, so I'm not sure what was the last driver I had used without issues. If this doesn't help either, I guess it might be a defective GPU for me. Will play some more today and hope it works again - wouldn't want to have to bother with a faulty GPU right now. |

I do find it weird that my older computer, it has a intel core 2 duo cpu and a geforce gts 250 card and it runs perfectly, I do not have directx 11 but besides that everything runs fine at max. I should note that enabling directx 11 does allow you to choose higher settings then what you can choose without directx 11 enabled. |
