Add me to the stutter festival!

Core2 quad Q6700 @2.67
2 X geforce gtx 460s 1 gig each
7 gigs of ddr2 memory.
500 gig hdd 7200 RPM.

you can litterally walk into one of the stutters, wait for it to stop. turn back around and walk back through the stutter in the city hub.. its hilarious.
why is this not stickied?

Updating my bios seemed to help my audio issues.

I'm having the same problem, except it keeps happening over every couple of steps or when I turn the camera.

I love how EVERYONE is reporting this problem with the PC version and the developers won't even so much as acknowledge it.

@tricksterthegreat.. since i think i am in the top 5 posters on this thread i think you can safely assume its an issue we're aware of and are looking the different avenues of possible cause/solution.

Heh, I realise that you've posted in this thread

But I think this is the first time you actually said you were aware of it

you need to improve resource managment... Like when I have 25FPS ingame, but my dual core CPU usage is 50-60% and GPU usage is 50%, that's ridiculous. Theorethically if game will use my CPU properly than should GPU usage increase aswell and hit 80-90% mark, that mean I wouldn't have 25 but 40FPS...

Windows has a very strange way of handling cpu.. i run flash games that max out my cpus both cores (yes my main pc is only a dual core), but i run left 4 dead 2, it only uses 50%. There are many parts to playing a game, from the code you are running, to the Drivers etc, they are all stakeholders in the `committee` meeting that is `gaming`, just one of them is late to the meeting or has an issue then things can go south very quickly. Think the UN

Theories and realities are not always at the same meeting.

There. How hard was that? I think most of us just wanted some acknowledgement that you were aware of the problem and are working on it.

I've posted on numerous occasions that ALL issues being mentioned are being passed onto the dev guys (AND the fact the dev guys are on here reading/posting etc). People would probably accuse me of just copying and pasting what i write if i was to just repeat myself in every thread, i kinda hoped people would read more then 1 thread and see my posts

@jaycw2309: do you like buying banana software?
Can't Eidos just test final ver. of games on 2-3 often used configs?

normally would answer, but since you're being quite rude, i'll just thanks, and bid you a good day instead, unless SOMEHOW your implication about banana software is not a way of trying to say we're like monkeys

Unfortunately as you cannot post politely will remove your rude reply.. but needless to say there was NO stuttering seen during the development cycle, and based on the 10's of 1000's of people playing this game on pc NOT reporting any stuttering issue at all i think its safe to say its NOT a universal issue happening for everyone..

Hi all! Just signed up to the forum after reading about this issue that has been going on since last tuesday. I'm having the same problems as everyone else but with the added issue of something that looks like a ghost image or double image whenever I start the game. I've figured out how to fix it but I just can't figure out why it does it EVERY time. It's not that big of a deal since it can be fixed but it's just icing on the poo poo whenever I'm also having major stuttering!

msi x58 pro e mobo

yadda yadda yadda

And outside of the US no one even saw the long loading times issue.. it was fixed before the RoW launch.. QA dont `create` bugs, they find them, report them, then spend a LONG time working out what was the cause is it specific to X Y Z etc.. whilst some issues can be fixed easily, sometimes they take a lot of investigation, same with the fixes, they have to be checked they dont have a knock on effect somewhere else etc.

People who dont understand how qa works will just make up assumptions and think `O M G was this even tested?` the simple answer will always be YES.. if the game was released and then you never heard a peep from anyone then i'd agree you'd have every right to scream blue murder, but we've been on here, reading posts, replying to posts, forwarding titbits of information to the dev teams, speaking to the polite individuals who contact us with exact information etc. All helps to make the game better for everyone..

But i hope you'll fix this bug for those 1000 people who don't have 6core, 16gb memory and don't leave them like others did with Saints Row II.

i have a basic dual core, 3GB ram, geforce 8800 gtx machine, and it has never had any stuttering issues, i cannot run dx11 i know, but this is what am trying to say, there are a LOT of people not having any stuttering across all range of hardware.. people with the SAME sound spec having totally differing experience.. PC's ARE lovingly temperamental you have to treat them with kid gloves or they will bite you on the ass we are not just sitting on our laurels tho thinking if we keep still and quiet maybe it will go away

Default no way

I can't play this game. It literally makes me sea sick. The constant head bobbing AND the stuttering makes this game unplayable, sorry.
I made a small video via Fraps which is not entirely accurate, because my frame rate is higher than it seems here
(ingame w/ vsync 60 fps, w/e: 60-120 fps) and the stuttering (esp. when circling the car) is even _worse_:

My rig: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3,40 Ghz, ATI 5870 and 8 GB RAM
(and sorry for my English)
