@cmdrmonkey
I think Deus Ex HR looks great. If they fix stutter problem and few minor bugs, than we have already GoTY on our hardrives.

@jaycw2309 It looks like the game is not using multicores at all.

This was taken from Core i5 2500k 4,4GHz, 8GB RAM, HD5870 http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/6...mapfooling.png but the game runs without problem on this PC.

You are right. It's my fault here, I apologize. I really thought it was and update: 12mb has been downloaded and then the game runs smoother...

And now is completly playable. I think this is not placebo. Maybe I need to test it more and check in some other game's areas. But, even this, as there's still so many people with this stuttering problem, a patch is still needed to fix it, of course.

The game will use multiple cores, you can see its using multiple cores, just not maxing them all out.

but on dual cores is gamebreaking... Why every game is using my CPU to the max (except very old ones, hell even Half life 2 is using my dual core better than this) and run without problem and Deus Ex is not doing so and stutters on every corner like hell?

Are you (Eidos/Nixxes) working on stuttering fix?

I doubt it. They got our money, so what do they care at this point?

Wel they already know.. a couple of days ago there was an thread also about the stuttering problem and if Eidos would comment on that.. the tread is closed by an admin because people got a little bit "angry" on them.
But i can recall that JAYCW2309 or that other admin told us that they ( and i presume with "they" are the developers of DXHR) were being informed by the admins..
AND that the developers are reading our forum..
So i give them now the time and patience for fixing this with a patch.

I'm very impressed. Other companies never post anything on forums or they just simply lock the threads what is about something buggy. Good to see a real community manager on an offline game forum who help and answer. The guys from those companies should learn from you.

I guess I should have known after Invisible War not to expect too much from a Deus Ex sequel, like for the game to actually work and be playable.

The stuttering is an issue (maybe worse for others) but cut them some slack. The game hasn't been out a week yet and they have already made one patch. I suspect they will get to it soon. Unfortunately I'm about 22 hours into the game and the stuttering did affect my enjoyment a little. I probably won't go back and play it over again when I'm done.

The issue is far too much of a problem to even allow the game to be released, there isn't an excuse for it. Just publisher greed really.

Just better to buy their future games from the bargain bin or wait to see what other poor paid beta testers are suffering before shelling out coin.

Ram and Vram usage is stupidly low, they perhaps should look there. I wasn't aware the minimum system requirements were for pocket calculators too.

Gaming aint what it use to be.

What makes it worse is that the game is actually awesome.

I disagree with cutting them slack. How long has this game been in development? And what about this quote” The game has been brought to consoles by Eidos-Montreal, but the developer enlisted the help of PC veterans, Nixxes Software, to optimize Deus Ex: Human Revolution for the powerful platform. “First off, Nixxes developed a DX11 renderer that is used on the PC, when available,” said Jurjen Katsman, founder and president of Nixxes. “We did leverage this by adding several features you will see when you have DX11 hardware on your PC: real-time tessellation, improved Screen Space Ambient Occlusion, improved blurs and depth of field”. Come on. Optimized? Where?

I must say I think it is shocking that I buy a game to find it virtually unplayable because of an issue like this. I cannot understand or grasp the fact that a game is released in this state, nor do I understand Eidos attitude towards ppl who vent their discontent about the issue.

When I buy games I never rly looked at the developer of the game as a deciding factor in a negative way, but this has surely changed that for me.

Eidos for me is a big no go from now on.
