Default stuck trying to save Faridah Malik in Hengsha

I need a tip how to save Faridah after the "plane" crashes in Hengsha. I tried a lot of different stuff killing all the belltower guards approaching, but Faridah allways gets killed, a me soon afterwards.
So please any tip will be welcome.

Always take out the biggest enemies first (the ogres) - gas grenades are really effective for doing this quickly and efficiently, and you can always go and finish them off with a shot to the head if you're determined to play lethally. Once they're down, the level isn't all that bad. Your next targets should be the guys with assault rifles. The stun gun is actually really useful in this level, as it's an instant incapacitation no matter where on their body you hit. You have to get quite close to use it, but as most of the enemies will be focusing on Malik, it's not that difficult. Take out the snipers last: they're virtually useless here.

Hope this helps.

So how does one go about getting the Foxiest of the Hounds achievement?

I read somewhere that the trophy only tracks the "Smooth Operator" XP bonus and if you got SO for every mission that offered it then the trophy was yours. I went through DRB territory last night and was very careful not to alarm anyone and when I finished the mission I only received a Ghost bonus. However, when I was doing some side-quests I alarmed an officer when I stepped into the wrong room. Would this have invalidated the trophy?

Could be if the DRB's quest was "ACTIVE" on the mission menus.

It was active the whole time. Does turning it off make a difference then? It would sure make things easier.

Smooth Ops is only for the main quests (and only some of them).
And the only alarms that count are alarm panels, cameras, laser security, and hacks.

More (slightly spoilery) help on the wikia, which includes a list of the SO bonuses: http://deusex.wikia.com/wiki/Foxiest_of_the_Hounds

Thanks. I've already been looking at that site but sometimes it's not all that clear.

I'll restart (since I was only a few hours in), turn off main quests when I'm doing side quests as well as staying away from main quest-exclusively areas and see how that goes.

Okay, but, y'know, there was only 1 SO bonus in that whole first Detroit section. DRBs don't matter. (Guessing you missed that, or something further on?)

Anyway, good luck!

edit: "turn off main quests"? I thought that only turns off the tracking of those quests... but you could still effect them? Not sure....

See this box?

Enemies can't see past it. They can't jump over it. They can't push it out of the way. Whenever you plan on killing, make sure to bring along a cardboard box to pen your enemies in.

Boxes are awesome.

I haven't tried turning anything off yet but I am tracking the SO bonuses. I don't know if I got the one after killing Barrett because of all the cutscenes but I was careful so I'm assuming I got it.

Default Pacifist

So I've been going for the pacifist achievement recently, but before I had fully committed to the pacifist play style I killed two or three people in the tutorial. Will this prevent me from getting the achievement or am I good on account that it was only the tutorial?

Yes, if you killed people in the tutorial then you can't get the achievement.

In the second city you eventually have to go on this employee train, but it never comes and the door never opens.
Does anybody know how to fix it?

Default is it possible to be pure human?

I heard that people are doing pure human play-through but doesn't Adam Jensen already a cyborg by the first act? Is there a way to keep pure human Adam model i.e a hidden story path in prologue or a mod? If not I think pure human play-through is just moot.

I don't think theres a hidden story path, so I think by the term "pure human" they just means no augmentations. Well no augmentations you activate, besides the basic hacking one and infolink you automatically start with.

EDIT: Important and highly relevant ->

Default How to skip Namir

I am having extreme trouble defeating Namir. I have had my augments taken away. I have attempted to:

- run around and gradually wear him down with gunfire
- throw mines at his position before exiting the lift
- use crates to keep the lift open, and then hide out in the lift under cover of the crates
- used a hacked turret to shoot him

The one punch method doesn't work, and throwing crates at him doesn't work. I cannot reposition the turret in the corner, because I don't have my augments.

I have tried about 100 times (or thereabouts) to defeat him. All I want now is a cheat so I can skip this fight, because IT IS NOT FUN ANYMORE.

Is there a cheat? A sequence of button presses that will skip the fight? If there is not, what the hell were you thinking with this boss fight? It is ridiculous. I've enjoyed the rest of the game, but I cannot continue until the end, and I don't believe I should have to return to a save game several hours ago so as not to get the LIMB upgrade, just so I can beat Namir. That is not proper game design.

Just use frag grenades. Each one stuns him as well as doing a ton of damage, allowing you to get more shots off.

Shouldn't have gotten the new chip. =P

You can change the difficulty in-game, which was something that I didn't realise until well into the story.

Yeah, but if you were trying to collect an achievement for playing the game on a certain difficulty you lose the ability to get it if you change it part-way through the game.
