why will all my TR games (ps1) work on my PS3 except TR2???

i just played my ps1 version of tomb raider on my ps3 no problems, i move on to 2 and it will play the initial start up video with the battle and the dragon, then it will go to main menu and as soon as i click on either new game or to play the mansion it just goes to a black screen. i thought compatibility issues would have been sorted by now!! i cant even buy it on the ps store which is weird as all the others are on there. whats all that about?? (im in the uk btw)

Same problem here! Tomb Raider 2 is my favorite game from TR series

...this is why ps2s can be better :-) all i can say is that you should enjoy other trs until they fix it. Christal said they lost the master disc!

There is a way how to make Tomb Raider 2 work on PS3, I tried it and it worked fine.

Video shows how to make TR1 work using TR2, but it works opposite way too.
I think it could be done with any other PS1 disc!

P.S. Only sad that you have to do it every time you want to play it, but I soon got used to it since its my favorite TR.

Yesterday, I got stuck in the very end of 'Ship deck'(10th level).
When I entered room where I should get that quake artifact(seraph) sound disappears and when I try to pick up artifact or want to go to menu, game freezes.
I replayed that level(even without saving, only pistols and no medipacks used) like 5 times... but when I lost all my hopes were lost I discovered:
When game freezes you should take out disc by pressing eject button on your ps3 and then put it back.... and game will continue!

Hope this will help someone!

Don't know why that game gives so much problems, even on computer.

Anyway, you can always downlolad from PSN if you badly want it
