Default Still Praying for "LOK: HD Collection"

I don't care what people say, I'm still praying for "Legacy of Kain: HD Collection". For Xbox 360 & PS3, containing Blood Omen 2, Soul Reaver 2 & Defiance. Remastered in 1080p, running at 60fps, enhanced high quality sound, and trophy/achievement support.

Wishful thinking, I know But I can still dream of it!

I'm joining your pray!
Best series ever made, by far the best and most complete story ever made.
All of them (BO1,BO2, SR1,SR2 and Defiance) can feat in a Blu-Ray Disc.

We get stupid HD collections from other dev's and LOK Series that is ....as unique as it can get, we dont...Please Crystal Dynamics!

They dont feat , Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2, Defiance were released in SL-DVD...i dont think that each game was smaller than 1,5gb.

If i just wanted to re-play them ......my PS3 is BWC and i have most of them (except Blood Omen 1) ......but i would love a Collection (Remastered).

one thing though...Maybe "if and when" the next LOK sequel is released we'll see a Collection. Maybe this is what is holding back the collection...... just a guess...

Yes they do. Double layer but still a DVD. Not including BO1 but that was one CD.
Soul Reaver - 598 MB
Soul Reaver 2 - 942 MB
Blood Omen 2 - 1.83 GB
Defiance - 1.91 GB
No idea about the bonus material though.

I just checked the original PS2 disc of Soul Reaver 2 and only the PSS folder (the videos in other words) is 2.41GB....and as you can remember the resolution is terrible for today's standards.
The BigFile.dat alone is 1.85gb.

And that would be the bonus material I mentioned.

Edit: I don't know why Bigfile.dat is that big though. My guess is that it has something to do with data redundancy for streaming optimization. Which is not a problem when using a hard drive on Pc.

@ leazy

That sounds good also

I can see the Dreamcast version of Soul Reaver 1 getting the HD treatment

Anthology idea kinda makes sense to make that way all of the previous games on one disc and all availble to play on a PS3 (for those unlucky enough not to have backwards compatibility!)

The dreamcast version of Soul Reaver is on a GD (GigabyteDisc) by the way. So its double the filesize of the playstation version (potentially)

I want that DC Soul Reaver so bad. It's a beaut. I remember Blincoln used screens from it to fool us into thinking it was a sequel to SR2

A lot of that space was most likely for the higher rez intro movie. The PS2 and PC versions are compressed beyond belief (and scan lines, don't even get me started on them...).

Yea i noticed the interlacing in the SR2 trailer on the PC version of BO2 like WTH! The PC has a progressive display why is there interlace lines? I also noticed that it appears to have small errors in the video probably from where it was over compressed.

We are talking about SR1 here. The trailer in BO2 is nothing compared to that. It was some weird rpl format that was apparently only used in Eidos titles. I still don't know why they haven't chosen Smacker. It wasn't really good either but it was definetly better than rpl.

Yeah, it's a pretty hideous format. That's why the most coveted prize one could have in the fandom years back was a copy of the uncompressed version of the intro. I remember when it was being passed around and everyone was realizing how amazing it was you could actually see little portions of clothes and armor burn away from Raziel, and the amount of detail on the EG in the background. lol, those were the days.

And I meant PS1 and PC, sorry.
