Yo the code can be found in game btw. It's a lot easier for the people who ordered the "explosive mission pack" cuz they get all the good bonuses (automatic hacking device? Cheap :P) . I still preordered the other one because I refuse to support Gamestop. I believe all codes can be found in game.
Anyways I don't love this Scavenger Hunt thing because I don't have a facebook or even a cell phone (PC gamer too). Sad hm? It took me winning a $50,000 scholarship competition just to persuade my parents to let me buy this game (But it's defiantly worth it ).

:P That was my hacking play-through of the press release. I've gone through it like over 10 times with all the weapons and tactics and I'm still finding new stuff. It really offers unlimited possibilities of play.

Is it a trick unlock, where it really only unlocks through some sort of Easter Egg methodology?
I'm just glad it's only an image, not a video, that's stuck in thumbnail mode. |

noo deus ex human revolution isn't even visible any more on the top 10 pre order chart on vgchartz.com. Makes me sad panda. And this facebook stuff is doomed :'(

vgchartz is all about the consoles. Don't mean a thing. And Deus Ex was relatively low budget (would have been even lower if Sq.Enix hadn't wasted all that money on advertising and the cinematic trailers... which really should have just been made into an entire movie), meaning that it should do well even if it doesn't sell a billion quadrillion units.
I see Modern Warfare 3 has still managed to wrangle up nearly 500,000 pre-orders. I had hoped BF3 might do better. Last edited by Rindill the Red; 06-30-2011 at 04:59 PM. |

How could an amazing game like Human Revolution have a low budget compared to games like Call of Duty?

Because a huge amount of the budget for AAA titles goes on the marketing rather than the game itself. Even though each new CoD game is just an incremental update on what came before (at least since CoD4) and is fairly simple in terms of mechanics, making for a (relatively) low development cost, the marketing costs will shoot the total budget skywards. I have little doubt that DX4 cost more than the latest CoD purely in terms of development, but even with the extravagant spend of hiring out so much at space at industry events, I doubt EM's marketing budget will come anywhere close to what Activision spend on CoD each time.

I just received an email from the minds behind the QR missions. Here's what it said:

I hope that's not the case. This is a really cool idea IMO, and it'd be a shame if it didn't take off.
Of course, more people might've done it if it was available outside the US....
