My point is take a look at your collection of PC games from like ten-fifteen years ago. Remember how many patches and updates and fixes those had? Yes I realize that a lot of them were just buggier period, but that's even MORE work the developers were putting in post-launch for free. I bet that there are other game-breaking bugs hiding out in DXHR and to me it's inexcusable that it should have taken them nine months to fix a single one.

Deus Ex movie based on Human Revolution signed by CBS Films
( http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/20...d-by-cbs-films ) There is to be a Deus Ex movie based on the recent Human Revolution reboot of the series. CBS Films has secured the rights to adapt it, according to Variety, and will work closely with Eidos Montreal on the adaptation. "As the millions of fans who have played the Deus Ex games for more than a decade will tell you, these games catapult you into a universe that is stimulating, engaging and relevant," Square Enix Europe president and CEO Phil Rogers commented. "We're firm believers in building strong partnerships, and so we're thrilled to be working with CBS Films on bringing the unique Deus Ex experience to the big-screen." Roy Lee, executive producer of The Departed, and Adrian Askarieh - a film producer who's landed other Eidos/Square Enix film rights - are linked to the movie as producers. CBS Films bods John P. Middleton (not sure who he is), Maria Faillace and Alex Gino will oversee the project. Question is, who will play the game's hero, Adam Jensen?

I'll believe it when I see it. Securing the rights doesn't really mean anything.
Oh well, we're still waiting on a decent videogame movie. |

DXHR WINS APPLE DESIGN AWARD
The Mac version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, released last April, was honored with a 2012 Apple Design Award at last week's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC). The Apple Design Awards celebrate the very best in design, innovation, and technology adoption in iOS and OS X apps. Published for the Mac by Feral Interactive, Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition was praised for "its compelling game play, fantastic graphics, and enormous environments that immerse the player in a fantastic sci-fi world." In announcing its decision, Apple stated that the game pushes the limits of OpenGL, which allows programmers to communicate with graphics hardware. As explained in the announcement, "Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Ultimate Edition leverages advanced shader techniques to deliver high-dynamic range lighting effects, and Open AL (Open Audio Library) to deliver rich and complex audio soundscapes. It is one of the newest and most impressive AAA games on the Mac App Store." Feral Interactive is a leading publisher of games for the Macintosh platform, founded in 1996 and based in London, England. Aside from porting DXHR to the Mac, it is responsible for such Macintosh hits as BioShock 2, Tropico 3: Gold Edition, Mafia II: Director’s Cut, Batman: Arkham Asylum, LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, DiRT 2, Borderlands and Rome: Total War Gold Edition. http://www.eidosmontreal.com/news/DX...e-Design-Award

Partly. All the categories seem to have different amounts of nominees so whoever came up with the list thought that these were all deserving choices when most of them are horrible and generic.
Apparently CoD3 and GoW3 deserve to be up for game of the year but DXHR and the Witcher 2 don't. And apparently the best moment in the Witcher 2 is the first sex scene...I mean seriously WTF? Plus the eventual winners will be the generic ty games ![]() I'm actually pretty amazed that they even know what Crusader Kings 2 is. |

Hey everyone,
I really hate goodbyes, so I'm going to be brief. My time as the CM has ended. This was probably the best two years of my life. Thanks for putting up with all my nonsense. Cheers, Kyle |
