Bloo Money uploading stats- is it still possoble?

Do we need to create a new login to upload stats in Blood Money or will the forum account work?

edit: trying to create a new account in the Steam Version of BM makes it hang on "Creating...". Now I'm not sure it saved my progress, here goes an Alt F4 to find out, the game won't quit any other way.
