'Me and Rocksteady' - a love story

Late 2009:

Me: Hey Rocksteady, I loved Arkham Asylum! :3 It was awesome, but just one thing..
Bane, I think if you make another game he should be in it too. But this time, make him a more important part of the story, yeah! And maybe give him a proper mask, and maybe even get rid of that titan tank, a new costume would be cool, maybe one that actually looks like bane, and while you're at it, just get rid of the whole Titan thing all together, it shouldn't even be part of the next game. And if you could, make sure we get an actual fight or two between him and Batman. Oh, I almost forgot, don't make him do something stupid, and get beat by Batman 5 seconds after he shows up.

Rocksteady: lol

Well, I suppose it is. I'm just happy that matchmaking is so fast now. In Brotherhood, it was horrifyingly slow.

These were my thoughts on Bane is Arkham City, back before Arkham City was announced.
My point is, Bane got screwed over even worse than the first...

Well integrating Bane into any story is hard because unless you make him the head honcho you're kind of wasting him.

Ok, I've officially gotten into BF3. Of course, I think TDM is a lot better than Rush, mainly because I'm not much of an objective modes kind of guy. I tried out TDM and it was really fun. And I actually got a decent team! Crazy, I know.

I'm too afraid to buy Skyrim right now. For one thing, it's supposedly really broken on PS3, and though I have a 360, it's not my system of choice and is just there for exclusives. There's a patch incoming after Thanksgiving that's supposed to fix some issues, but I'll hold off until then. Or I could just wait until the GOTY edition or whatever it'll be called with ALL the DLC. Suggestions?

Haha yes, they more or less had a good start, but the way the quest concludes was just so rushed.

The Court of Owls will attack the Batman family in titles such as Red Hood & the Outlaws, Birds of Prey, Batgirl and Nightwing!

This is just awesome, it's nice to see Snyder taking the reign as Morrison prepares his finale for Batman.

PS. Got my Legends of the Dark Knight Marshall Rogers Hardcover, it's a thing of beaty! <3 It has the classic Joker fish story and Hugo Strange!

I finally am playing Arkham City. I started on the 23d. It released on the 22nd, but only then could you download it through Steam and that 17 GB (!!) took my connection close to 40 hours to download, then I had to wait for Windows Live to download ... twice, and a bunch of other crap. Anyway, it's running. I have Windows XP, so the DX11 stuff doesn't pertain to me, but that and PhysX are actually not even working on the game (you know, the whole reason it was supposed to have been delayed (not that WB just wanted to boost console sales, nah...)). Only some of the cutscenes have skiping sound and chopped performance, which are usually the most crucial cutscenes (yeah, hoping there is a patch released real soon...), but other cutscenes and in game runs butter smooth and is amazingly fun and addicting. I'm taking my time. I've probably put 6, or so, hours into it, but only have completed about 5%. I'm taking Bats and Catwoman around the city and collecting stuff, beating the crap out of tons of thugs, talking to Zsasz, Bane, running into other surprising cameos. Hopefully the game is patched to be what it should be from the start, but at least I finally have it, Catwoman is included in the game without some idiotic code that I am sure WB would have botched, like they have with so many of the console-players, and all is mostly well. (As great as the core game may be, if WB is publishing Rocksteady's third outing, I most likely won't buy it, unless they greatly improve...)

Catwoman is really fun, actually, and is almost more to play as than Batman .

Edit: Oh, and I saw Captain America the other night. I really liked it a lot. I thought the tone was great, the care was great to both the subject matter and the time period, no hammy or overacting, and the dialogue was written well, not cute-sy and overtly comedic and cynical, etc., like say Iron Man 2. Very well-done. I just wished that my Net connection didn't butcher the video quality at times due to lag...

I don't see anything wrong with it. If the Court of Owls is really that big of a threat, wouldn't they start attacking other members of the Bat family? I think so. Interesting move on their part.

Well, I haven't seen that particular thread of the Arkham board linked to from the site you posted, Trailer Hunter, because I've been only going to the news and announcement section over on the official boards. However, I did know from a search on nVidia's forum that they are aware and supposedly working on a patch. Let's hope that they do more than just get DX11 to work, as it needs more done. Other people are having the same audio video sinc issues I am.

Anyway, besides that, I'm addicted. I'm plugging in hours in the city and loving every minute of it, lol. Highlight of my evening was

How are you supposed to find anyone? That's just ridiculous.

I play Wanted and Manhunt.

Well you were right, Revelation's multiplayer is improved I think. I just played Assassinate which is pretty interesting, you basically have a compass that leads you to every player in the game (you pick your own target by following it), and when you follow it, you have to look around and try to pick out the Templar(the player) from the civilians by their behavior. ( This mode doesnt tell you what the other characters look like)

Of course I was right! I always am.

In all seriousness, though, Revelations is pretty awesome. It's a great package, with a captivating SP and pretty fun MP. My favorite game this year aside from Uncharted and Batman.

I caught up on the last few issues of The Walking Dead, Batman, and DC Universe Presents.

What exactly happened at the end of Batman #3? I'm not sure I got it.

The Walking Dead, though it's been extremely slow, looks to be speeding up again with the introduction of a new villain. As horrible as this may sound, I think Rick and the whole Community have had enough peace for awhile. Time for chaos!

DC Universe Presents #3 was another great issue. It sets a lot up that it obviously won't resolve until the remaining issues, but it's still good. It's one of those series that you'd probably have to read as a cohesive whole in a TPB to fully appreciate. Honestly, most comic stories are like this nowadays. I guess that would be why we "trade wait."

Leviathan Strikes should be out soon, I just don't remember when.
