I pre-ordered the Augmented Edition on PC from amazon.co.uk in May and although it is still listed for delivery on the 26th in orders/accounts page, i'm getting increasingly paranoid that they'll send a "sorry this stock is not available" type email, since the collectors/aug editions aren't even listed for sale on the site anymore.

If you've hard a preorder with them since May, you should be fine, especially given that there have been a lot of cancelled pre-orders over the past few days thanks to all the furore over region locking. Your order is bound to be a lot higher up the queue now than it once was! :P

True, but the issue is more to do with the fact that the Augmented edition isn't even available for any format on Amazon UK anymore! In fact, I checked last month too and it was the same situation. I just hope they have ANY stock available for this version and/or don't send me the standard version by mistake.

My guess is that they've just had enough pre-orders to fill out their stock allocation, and so have removed the AE from search results so they can't take any more pre-orders. They didn't do that with Duke Nukem Forever's Balls of Steel Edition, and ended up not having enough copies to fulfill all the pre-orders, which led to them cancelling people's pre-orders at the last minute - literally the day before release. (I should know, I was one of those people.) It seems likely that what they're doing here is a measure to make sure that doesn't happen again.

At least, I bloody hope so. I've got mine pre-ordered from Amazon UK too!

Are the pre order weapons only available through pre order? Or are they versions of weapons that can be found in game? if that's the case then that's really dumb.

Like, if I don't get the Tactical Enhancement pack, will I still be able to find a double barreled shotgun or a silenced sniper rifle?

Really? On the front page it says the pre order weapons have some sort of analog... so if I don't pre order I won't get a bolt action sniper rifle or a DB shotgun?

I wouldn't be so pissed if they weren't unique guns... I mean, if I can find a regular bolt action sniper rifle or a regular DB shotgun then I won't be so mad, but as it is, or as it seems, I can only get those unique guns by choosing Amazon or Best Buy over Gamestop which is outrageous.

Sooo.. About the TF2 promotion... Will people who bought the game on GMG get the items? Because it's too late for a refund now since they're giving out the keys in mere hours - otherwise I would - I feel kind of screwed over if we don't. Announcing it this close to release is a shame, otherwise I could've made a more informed decision. Please don't make me regret trusting you on trailers & promises and pre-ordering the game :-/

Why would one? Price is not dropping, if anything it will increase as all the pre-order promotions are over. (30€ for physical Augmented edition anyone?). Even if one could still buy the game early and play later.

No one knows, but it was mentioned that those that got Red Orchestra 2 from GMG get TF2 hats when they registered the keys, so feel free to be hopeful.

They have some sort of in-game equivalent was the official answer, although the pre-order weapons are pre-specialized and therefore cannot be further modded. The AUD doesn't seem to have an in-game equivalent at all and apparently is an item unique to the pre-orders.

I was pretty stoked about IW and ran out the first day. Don't get me wrong, I'm stoked about this one too, but I'm probably gonna wait and see what you guys think before I shell out the cash for this one.

GAME cancelled my pre-order. I think my card details were entered on my old address. So they phoned me after the bank declined payment and asked me to sort out any issues, so that they could try again.

Oh wait hang on, that's wrong. What they actually did was cancel my pre-order with no kind of notification of issues whatsoever. So the UK Augmented Edition I pre-ordered months ago is no longer reserved for me. So not only am I unlikely to be able to get it at the same price, I doubt I'll be able to get it for the release date either.

... I'm more comfortable with ordering the Limited Edition than the standard edition because at least with the Limited Edition I know I'll at least be purchasing the whole game and not have to go and purchase DLC for the standard edition of a game I would have had had I purchased the Limited Edition at the start... Which is why I only buy the Limited/Collectors edition for PS3 Games these days - Deus Ex HR included...

So I go to Gamestop to pick up some cheap used games as I do from time to time. As I'm checking out for about the fifth time I ask if Human Revolution is going to have a midnight release. Retarted looking short nerdy guy answers no, and is kind enough to add that he's not looking forward to it, and that it's not popular enough to merit a midnight release, and that the original wasn't very good or popular either. I do recall him speaking about COD with enthuisiasm earlier though.
