Quote:
You're really not missing out either way when it comes to the weapons. All you get there are some shiny extras. No, the real difference is whether you want the extra mission or the extra credits. (Jerion) Quote:

The method in which you get the pre-order bonus is yet to be verified. Quote:

Beware of platform. 360 games can be region locked, and PC and (usually) PS3 games are not. Try also, http://www.play-asia.com/ and http://www.shopto.net/ Quote:
Quote:
If you want the other pack with the extra mission, you'll have to pre-order from Gamestop. Or, if you're getting it for the PC / PS3, order it from abroad, as outside of the US the augmented edition contains both pre-order packs. Game.co.uk ships worldwide. Quote:
Quote:
1) PC games are region free, so wherever you get it from it'll work. However, one thing we do know is that the US augmented edition does not come with all the pre-order content, but the European one does. Try ordering from game.co.uk, they should ship to your location and that way you'll get all the content. 2) Not yet confirmed either way, but at a guess it'll probably be available on store shelves too. 3) You can pre-order on Steam, but no word on whether that gives you all or any of the pre-order content. In the US you can buy the game with just one of the preorder packs (Gamestop - explosive pack, everyone else - tactical pack). If you want both packs, order your Augmented Edition from abroad (game.co.uk will do the trick). Be aware that X360 games can be region-locked, while PS3 and PC should be ok. The Explosive Mission Pack is a Gamestop exclusive. In Europe they get both pre-order packs, but the US Gamestop gets the Explosive Mission Pack and everyone else gets the Tactical Enhancement Pack. Double check on official http://deusex.com/augmented (click on US flag) and on gamestop.com. US versions include only one pack. Gamestop has Explosive pack, other retailers have Tactical pack. There is no way to have both packs from US retailer. The only version that contains both packs is European Augmented Edition. If you want both packs, pre-order from Europe. Q: Quote:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Deus-Ex-Huma...6328989&sr=8-7 According to this it's just the regular edition with the "Explosive Mission Pack" included. Q: Quote:
Q: Quote:
General note: Digital distribution versions of Deus Ex:HR don't come with ingame pre-order content. Q: Collector's vs. Augmented edition different or same? So I'm trying to figure out: Are the "Collector's" and "Augmented" editions of DX:HR different? I pre-ordered the Augmented edition the other day through GameStop because I thought that was the ultimate version with all the bells and whistles a fanboy could want... but is the "collector's" edition the one I really want? (P.S. I am going to play the PC version, as I do not own a console.) A: The CE comes with custom box design, Adam Jensen figure, and ALL the preorder bonuses. Other than that, they are the same. ___ Have a question? Ask in this thread and it will be added to the summary above. ** ** Update from Kyle @ 06/12/2010 Quote:

It seems these are weapons are featured in the game (Given that they released concept art of the GL and remote explosives) but you just get them straight up. The shotgun might not be included, if it is thats a pretty obscure addition to the weapons. __ Quote:

So I need to decide between those two packages? Is there actually a way to get all content? If not than it's bull
and screw you EM and Square Enix. Not gonna jump on preorder hype train if I can't get everything.

I don't think a hype train even exists for pre-order content. I'm gonna be severely disappointed if this turns out to be content you can only get with the pre-order.

So we can't get remote explosives or a grenade launcher unless we pre-order first? That's terrible.

I'm hoping this isn't the case. They released images of those weapons AND the confirmed revolver around the same time.

Corpus, there is hype train on preorder DLCš if they are actually any good but there is real problem, almost always you can't get everything and sometimes you don 't get anything at all because the retailer in your town just su**s
So that's why I really don 't like all this.

It's a terrible practice isn't it? Nothing annoys me more than the game getting chopped into bits and given to different distributors as an incentive to buy from them.
In fact, I have no qualms in admitting I just warez all the content sold individually as a pre-order bonus. Gamers should never get an incomplete game, just because they didn't order early. Ever. Anyway, if ALL the content is available as a collectors edition (over steam or physical) then i'll just buy that. But no f**cking way am I going to be forced to choose which butchered down version I want. |

This thread will explode soon, but before then I will just say that I don't pre-order games (I think it's too much of a gamble.) and hope I don't miss out.

Daft ass practice, that i don't see amounts to any good whatsoever. Still kinda stunned as i type. what the hell...just what the hell? Going back to the point of dragon age, after getting all the pre-order content, i couldnt help but notice that it unballances the game from the start. With HR, not being given guns is on thing, but: (Youtube description) - "...extra credits for augmentations and upgrades." ![]() The game is unbalanced. F*k's sake.

Nevermind, doesn't look like that's the cover to the box... but the cover to the insert.

![]() On a side note the game looks really really good in those trailers. And for those going on and on about the gold filter... it's not there underground or in buildings (like when it shouldn't be). Last edited by Rindill the Red; 11-30-2010 at 09:35 AM. |

Bonus stuff with a collector's edition is fine I think. After all, you pay extra to get extra. It looks liek the pre-order bonuses of the standard edition are one half of the content of the collectors each.
THAT is good. If this is stuff that you otherwise wont see in the standard because it's included in the collectors, I have no problem with it. Though how much more will the CE cost, and is it worth it? That's the question...

This is a bunch of crap. No one can have the whole game because there are two different pre order packs? You get either the sniper rifle and the shot gun, or you get the remote detonator and the grenade launcher, or you get nothing at all if you don't pre-order the damn thing. How about make a pre order that has stuff that doesn't affect game play at all, like avatar clothing, figurines, 'the making of' video etc. This is a perfect example of a how they are just money hungry and care nothing for the consumers.
If it is true that the collectors edition comes with all of this, then we need more information about that now, not later. I want the whole game, not a piece of it. |

Oh yawwnn. Been waiting months for this after their promised "oh the collectors edition is super super super awesome!" hype. And, well, that's a pretty boring ass collectors edition, if that is it. No Jensen figure or Sarif Augmented Eyeball on a display stand? Nothing? I'll pass.

Buying the collectors edition just for the motion comic and the art book. Does it have the soundtrack? I'm terrible at french.
