Actually in this "Everyone use internet" era great game don't need too much advertising prior game release because if the game will be really great, it will sell no matter what was said before. Great reviews and other user recommendations will insure that game will have sell in longterm, Yes, most likely there won't be massive preorders numbers and really large first month sales but there will be good sale numbers in longterm for about a year.

-will there be Animals/creatures such as cats, rats, Greasels and Karkians in DXHR? if so, would it be possible to kill/knockout them?

-In DXHR will the NPCs be able to climb ladders?

-will the Grays make a return visit?

I can answer this question from the POV of a Deus Ex fan.

Greasals and Karkians are synthetic animals made by MJ12... near the year 2052... so I would say they wouldn't exist in 2027.

The grays are also a genetic bio-engineering project that Bob Page revived soon after the break from the Illuminati, and that only recently provided viable test subjects by 2052, so I imagine that no, there will be no grays either.

Rats and cats are possible, so long as the game developers didn't decide that these things should be streamlined out, but I haven't seen any dogs, cats, rats, or any other animal for that matter in any of the trailers yet. What a shame.

sorry to have wasted you from typing but the time-line in DXHR is different so one can say safely that what you've just said is irrelevant.

No it isn't. They brought in someone to consult on the original time-line as well as used the bible... so yeah, take that... it's completely in keeping with the continuity.

In one of CG trailers you could see birds flying. So there is hope

You would be surprised by the number of pointless things in games. Like scanning the keepers in Mass Effect 1. So just because you can drag bodies around doesn't mean that they won't disappear like 5 minutes into the mission.

I'd rather know how much it cost to do those pre-gen CGI... and why the hell publishers have to spend so much money on marketing when it could be better used on the game's quality.
This ONN episode sums it up:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AyVh1_vWYQ

That is basically how most people decide on buying things. Agresssive marketing ftw!

Scanning Keepers were pointless? I hope you followed the story carefully? At least then you would know how important Keepers were and in the second game you get info sent to you about those scans and most likely in the third game that info will be used again somehow. IMO you just made terrible example because that mission wasn't really pointless.

Yes, there is pointless things in the games but there is so many pointless things in our lives too. Also noone really pushed you to do that scanning mission.

While greazels and karkians are UC creations, we can't bet on ruling out the grays, although I think it is unlikely. We might stumble upon a lab trying to fuse monkeys with alien DNA perhaps... Since the story features the inception of Unatco and the attack on the statue of Liberty, I doubt much of DX1 beyond that theme will be introduced. Manderley is confirmed as Detroit Police Station Commander, so I doubt many more cameos either. But I'm sure there will be a ton of homage, references, quotes and humour related to DX1.

Ladders- already can be seen in the EG videos.

@MyImmortal

Is Adam ambidextrous? Can we choose whether to be primarily left- or right-handed (e.g. like in Counter Strike)?

Would just like to clarify that when asking "When can we expect to see PC gameplay?", Eyefinity presentations recorded at a distance from cam doesn't count. PC gamplay = gameplay captured directly from PC, and on a machine that isn't a giant $3000+ ATI/AMD endorsement.

Yeah, we're still waiting for a confirmed date. JJB is most likely mega-busy right now. Perhaps the Podcast won't happen until after the New Year.
