Always had optimistic faith in Martin Campbell, but yeah the Boxing Glove steals the show! <3 Reynolds looks pretty good too.

Pretty cool! But as you know the pissing and moaning has started. I mean it's to be expected with YT comments but one guy was actually complaining because there's a point in the trailer where he's walking around in the suit without the mask on. The gets all pissed because we already know it's Ryan Reynolds and he thinks that he should have the mask on all the time. People have already also started writing it off as a "crappy comedy" because of 30 seconds of out of context scenes/

Does Green Lantern do a lot of joking? I never read any of his comics, so I would not know. If he does I think that's only a good thing though.

I hope the Hal in those clips isn't the one we get through the whole movie, I knew they'd try to copy Iron Man and it's just not going to work.
It looked alright though, my only problem is Hal comes off a bit dorky/goofy and the costume popping on him looked silly. We'll see though.

I saw this earlier on IGN and I think it looks alright; looks fun. I'm really hoping that CGI gets polished though; I mean - the effects on things like that punch looked great but then the suit looks awful and I wouldn't blame it on the quality of the video, because it looks crap in the 'HD' version of the video:

Yeah, the suit still doesn't impress, and the popping on scene was goofy. But, we'll see. I love how Hal apparently is Van Wilder with the same Indian side kick (different actor, but nearly the same dude
). At least it looks like they're trying to keep the actual alien Green Lanterns.

Going by animation, every incarnation and/or main character except for Kyle Rayner, has been the clean-cut no-nonsense soldier's soldier type. Guy, Hal, Alan and John have all been portrayed as the stereotypical superhero/soldier that's good to core but super serious unless cracking a sarcastic joke now and then. Heck, even Kyle appearances in JL/JLU were simply a more douchebag version of Nightwing.
Nothing this goofy. the closest is probably Hal's cockiness for the first 15-20 minutes of Green Lantern: First Flight and even that was miles more serious than what was shown in that clip. Still, I have hope that he'll be goofy for the first half hour or so and then straighten up as he realizes his destiny.

The problem I have with the CG is how damn goofy the mask looks. It doesn't look like its adhered to his face, it looks like its floating over his face. And I think he looks bug-eyed with it too.
