Civilians,Bums In the city

I thought It would be cool If kind of like assassins creed where there are some people or bums around certain parts of Gotham city streets or some cars trying to avoid the gangs. It would be very interesting say a young man is trying to get to his apartment when the thugs start trouble with him as Batman looks from above and thinks of a strategy to save the kid from the thugs. I am not saying I want to do this the entire game but once in a while would be interesting. Like Batman the movie 1 when those 2 guys were bothering the husband and wife for there money and Batman came and saved the day.

If there were normal people still in the city trying to get somewhere. Forget assassins creed, just imagine Batman in his place instead

Although it would be cool,I don't think Sharp would be allowed to leave people in there.That would be crossing the line.The law enforcement wouldn't allow it.

Sadly I have to disagree with this idea because it sounds like every other superhero game ever made. "Save the kid from falling!" "Get *X* person to the hospital!" Blah, blah, blah. It's cool the *first* time and then it becomes a chore...and I hate when my games become chores. If they found a way to do it without being repetitive that's great, but otherwise...mmm not so much.

Yes I agree In other superhero games they abuse that feature that its really repetitive and gets old fast, but If it were done for right that would be cool. Kind of like when you had to save that lady in the room with thugs and Batman sprayed all the walls and it blew up and knocked out every thug in the room. I would say it would be cool to have a married couple try to go threw crime alley to get home and thugs start trouble with them and Batman sees this and remembers his past and your job is to take care of the thugs before they kill those people. It can be done in some missions but not abused to the point it becomes silly like spiderman games.

I don't think it will be any civilians at all, I mean all thugs and all the insane inmates and blackgate prisoners are between those walls so civilians are out of the picture.

On the other hand, aren't we also supposed to be going around stopping thugs from committing crimes and victimizing people when not doing the story? There's probably going to be some people in Arkham City who aren't part of the madness, and, unless there's a fairly large subsection of prisoners that don't want anything to do with the gang wars (a real possibility, actually), or we have a crapload of expendable guards, that means civilians to protect.

After all, it's made out of part of the city, it makes sense that some civilians would bleed into the area.

Actuallly, I dont think there are any guards in the City.There are all mercaneries that sharp hired. We actually might have to go agaisnt them.(On a seperate note, BATMAN AGAINST MERCANERIES!!!!!! THIS GAME COULD NOT BE BETTER!!!!..... I will probaly be proven wrong when some more info is released.

The Gameinformer article did mention that some paramedics are taken hostage by Joker's men. Also, we get the chance to rescue

One of concepts released a coupe of weeks ago had a 'VOTE GORDON' poster or something, I don't think they would have that inside Arkham City so we may get a chance to play in Gotham.

It would be cool like the dark knight movie where there is a crowd say commissioner Gordon has to speak publicly where there are regular civilians and some police and guards protecting Gordan,so you know something is going to happen as you watch from the rooftop hidden so no one can see you. You see a strange person in the audience wait now you see 3 strange people one looks Gothic green hair the second guy look to be holding a brief case that's purple,the third guy is wearing purple pants and is heading closer moving threw the crowd to see Gordon closer and the 4th guy is dressed as a maintenance guy trying to fix lights or is he really? Batman's motive now is to figure out who is trying to assassinate Gordon. So you have to be quick or Gordon dies and try to figure out which guy is really working for the joker. What you guys think?.................................................
