Exclamation PC/Steam: How To Find And Host Games

How To Find And Host Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days Servers

Some here may already know most of what I'm offering here, please don't feel patronized I'm trying to help those that are confounded by the nested menus and need help finding the game's Server Browser (yes it has one) though PC Fans that haven't found it will find it laughable the way it's situated... For clarity the instructions about a particular step are under the relevant image...

Finding Games

1) Select "Multiplayer Modes".

2) Select "Online".

3) Select "Player Match" (Not "Ranked Match")...

4) Select "Custom Match" (This opens the game's buried Server Browser).

5) Leave all your fliters set to "ALL" as there won't be enough games to fill the window anyway, and you want to find as many as possible to choose from; and hit "Accept".

6) Hit "Refresh" until you find a game, and "Select" to join the selected game. I recommend choosing servers with 4 player spots (see below) if there are multiple servers listed, as these will have much less lag, and the game will start much faster as you won't have to wait forever for more players to join.

Hosting Games

1) Follow steps 1) thorough 3) above and slect "Host A Public Match"... Note: using the automated Ranked hosting option will not let you choose any server settings like number or rounds or Players.

2) Choose your game-type (I'm using Fragile Alliance in this example)...

3) Choose your server settings: I strongly recommend limiting your server to just 4 player because each player over 4 will make latency incrementally worse for everyone, and you'll wait forever for players to join your server. Maximize "Heist time (minutes)" to make the game a little easier for so few players, and maximize the number of rounds because after that the server automatically exits. Hit ready, and be prepared for a wait...
