Oooh trivia ! ...
- The multiplayer mode "Undercover Cop" is Obviously a reference to the "Driver" franchise. Bonus point goes to the fact that both IO and Reflection's franchises are often refered to as "crap games" from just about everybody.

Anybody else think that the reason the other 2 Expat members aren't in the game is because they were killed off for trying to backstabb the team in one of those Fragile Alliance maps???

But they were there alright ... This also means that none of them pulled out anything stupid during their Fragile Alliance jobs , Kane would have been proud about it ...

Human shields were a gameplay idea brought over from Hitman Blood Money.
Nice try though. |

- Those who played Dead Men would remember occasionally seeing Lynch 'shooting' at corpses, given his 'psychotic' state of mind, it is suggested that he 'believed' the dead might still be alive and moving. While Lynch never behaves in such way in Dog Days, nor do we see people rising from the dead, it is most remarquable that thanks to the "Down not Dead" feature, sometimes enemies will, quite literally, shoot at the player while seemingly looking 'dead' on the floor, causing players to sometimes, occasionally, also find themselves repeatedly shooting at enemy lying on the ground, regardless of whether they're alive or not, but for the sake of being 'sure' that the guy is 'really dead'. Therefor in some way, IO did really made sure players feel like they're "playing as Lynch, the medicated psychopath" from Dead Men.
(Of course, most players doesn't notices that small little detail, and from some point of view, 'rightfully' complains about Lynch not being 'psychotic' enough in Dog Days.) Well ... this last piece ought to act well as the last of the trivias for Dog Days ... Oh yes no doubt there's still trivias for us to notice , but i guess it's going to be in a much slower pace now ... Which is why we now go for something new : potential references to "Kane & Lynch" from other video games , or in other media including novels , films , TV shows and songs ... So far i've found two in games , and oddly enough , both of them are references to Lynch ... These potential references are all rather questionnable , of course ... But it's not like we don't have That much to add on anywya ... - In Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption", a character named Seth has a tendency of murmering 'strange' things to himself, and is also seen 'speaking' to dead people. Lynch's middle name just happens to be 'Seth', and fans of Dead Men would remember seeing Lynch occasionally kneeling next to corpses and 'observing' them. - In Fallout 3's add-on, "Point Lookout", one of the lead characters, a ghoul called Desmond, shares quite a few resemblance to Lynch: Desmond is the only ghoul in Fallout 3 to have a facial hair (in this case a moustache); he wears a pair of glasses and a suit with a tie; the two weapons he uses are a shotgun and a sniper rifle (what Lynch uses for the most part in Dead Men); his last name starts with an 'L'; he owns two dogs named 'Freki' and 'Geri', the names mean "the ravenous" and or "the greedy one"(which is for the most part, what Lynch 'is' in Dead Men); at one point the player can choose to Betray Desmond, of which he would respond quite Violently, but most importantly, Desmond is the one who shouts the most profanity in the entire cast of Fallout 3. Perhaps also noteworthy is that Desmond, despite his swearing, is still a mostly 'civilised' person in terms of his behavior, he is well dressed for a man surrounded by cannibals, he lives in a empty manor with posessions of high technology, and seems to be potentially british, with a knowledge of 'complicated' vocabularies. This in some way resembles the 'Lynch' written in the leaked movie script (the 'undefinitive' version) written by Kyle Ward for the Kane & Lynch movie, where Lynch was shown to be a "lord of manor" and uses 'complicated' words when shouting, also both movie Lynch and Desmond shares a similar quest of obtaining a powerful high technological weapon. Desmond however, doesn't have a key code to a nuclear device in his head, unlike movie Lynch. (thank god)

Chapter VI: A Thousand Cuts
- It would seem that to further humiliate the man, Hsing would wear Lynch's pair of sunglasses during the torture (clapping moment possibly included), as players can see that Hsing has his Own pair of glasses in chapter III and V, but would then suddenly be wearing Lynch's sunglasses in the intro cutscene and in Chapter VI. Indeed, nothing better than to torture a woman while wearing her boyfriend's glasses, my god this makes me want to go onto a sensless *** rampage ! God Damn It ! These Sick People FFuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccckkkkk !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ...

Despite the Youtube style visuals, Dog Days still has a few references to Heat
-In the 'Harbor' FA map a large truck rams an armoured car, this is a reference to the first heist in Heat and the Opening level of Dead Men. EDIT: Some San Andreas joggled my memory. -In the 'Subway' FA map the escape vehicle is an ambulance. An ambulance was used by the crew after the heist mentioned above to escape. I guess IO still loves Heat

You just noticed that ? ...
And lol , what does San Andreas have to do with anything ? ... Next thing you know you'll say J.C. is a reference to C.J. , and the fact that it's the opposite also grants them the power to switch a black man into a caucasian ... That actually makes sense ...

Well ... i've noticed something ...
Each of the chapters in both game actually utilises a 'unique' gameplay element not used anywhere else in the rest of the game. However it's quite easy to 'miss out' that each chapter actually utilises a unique element (no matter how big or small it is), since, in the end, the game is still the 'same' third person shooter. But the lil details counts, right? Here's the full list: Dead Men ... Chapter I: Impact Player has to follow NPCs' orders Chapter II: Trial Player has to 'teach' another character to perform identical actions Chapter III: Withdrawal Player has to eliminate a certain amount of cops so that the escape vehicle may approach Chapter IV: Crackin' Up Survive for a period of time until the subway arrives Chapter V: The Mizuki Unlike other times where stealth is available, this time it is entirely optional Chapter VI: The Exchange Despite being seperated from Kane, Lynch can still follow orders when targeting the snipers Chapter VII: Reunion A 'timed' boss fight Chapter VIII: Breakout The rifle used by the prison guards is only used in this chapter Bonus Trivia ! A odd 'closure' in terms of the storyline: the game starts up with Lynch and Kane being broken out of a prison transport van somewhere in Los Angeles, this chapter ends with the duo using a similar van to escape prison, along with a few friends, and marks the last time we see the duo in the vicinity of Los Angeles, and the United States for that matter. Chapter IX: Retomoto Tower Player has to 'loot' a body Chapter X: Tokyo Streets Lynch 'does it' regardless of the player's orders Chapter XI: Freedom Fighters Twelve fighters to die for you Chapter XII: El Capitol Two boss fights in one chapter, also includes a NPC suicide Chapter XIII: Bird's eye view This is the one chapter where players must kill all enemy NPCs to move on, the others just requires the player to survive to the end Chapter XIV: Within the Walls Only chapter player starts up with a sniper rifle, also with a decent amount of ammo Chapter XV: Choice ... ... ... Do i really need to repeat it? Chapter XVI: Consequence Players has to protect an 'uncontrollable' allied NPC Dog Days ... Chapter I: Welcome to Shanghai Player is overly excited that he is finally going to play Kane & Lynch 2 Chapter II: The Details Players has to protect a VIP with a health bar Chapter III: Blood, Sweat and Tears Players gets to fight alongside multiple 'friendlies' Chapter IV: Laying Low Only time players gets to witness a surrendering NPC (though in Solo, Kane always ends up killing the cop) Also, the dvdshop street fight is the only one that offers two ways of ending it, either kill all the cops, or use the environment by blowing up the kitchen Chapter V: Coming Home Protecting a NPC from a couple of waves of enemies Also, only chapter where players doesn't face off against law enforcement Chapter VI: A Thousand Cuts Perhaps the only time where stealth truly works (though only for one section) Chapter VII: The Deal ? ... Chapter VIII: Out of Shanghai ? ... Chapter IX: Airstrike On-rail shooting sequence Chapter X: Resurrection ? ... (yeah , Dog Days did lacked variety) Chapter XI: One way Ticket Well , there's Kane i guess ...

Edit: Know what ? i wonder if there isn't really a easter egg hiding somewhere in this game ... And i mean the kind of easter eggs that needs you to press a certain combination of buttons in a specific area , then the game will load up a kart race ... or something like that ...

Are you guys sure you saw Liam and Bud exactly? I noticed that they put random heads on random bodies for the goons, so sometimes Liam appears to be a latino man with a moustache or something.

HUGE , and i mean HUGE !! ...
Can't believe we never thought about it before , really , shame on us all ... Taking my nice bath after a month or so and i realized that Vice City Stories wasn't the only game from Rockstar that IO made an homage of ... Whether you enjoyed it or was disgusted by it , i give you the 2003 'game' ... Here's the similarities i've found: - Both games uses a 'grainy filter' in purpose for its overall narrative style. Also, both games shares the theme of an invisible eye/camera following the protagonist around during their rampage in the span of a couple of nights. Chapter VIII: Out of Shanghai - When the chapter begins you can see a couple of police cars and vans 'blocking' the path the duo used to arrive in this location, but there are no traces of actual policeman in that area. This is similar to the last act of Manhunt, where several police and swat vans are used to block out paths in the streets, regardless of whether actual policemen were found in the vicinity of these vehicles or not. Alright , now , brace yourselves , if you thought the first two were merely 'coincidences' ... ... just brace yourselves for These next pieces ... - This chapter ends with Lynch and Kane being surrounded and captured by Shanghsi's special task force at a train yard, this is more than identical to one of Manhunt last levels, where the protagonist fought his way against corrupt officers of the law in a trainyard, and was finally captured by the antagonist's private elite troopers. Also (and this one really takes the cake), this particular level of Manhunt and this chapter from Dog Days ends in a Identical fashion: one of the special troopers, approaches the 'camera' and disables it. No really , i you not , just look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QzomHBBoVXw ...Look at the end, also look at what time the dude smashes the camera ... 9:47 ... *** conspiracy ...And wait , you thought this is the end ? ... have another load of This ... - After this chapter, Lynch and Kane were captured, and now being brought back to Shanghsi's headquarter (or at least, goes to its vicinity), and for some unexplained reasons, the duo weren't killed right there and then in the trainyard. In Manhunt, after the level in the trainyard, the protagonist was captured, and brought back to the Big Bad's headquarter, and again for some unexplained reasons, the protagonist wasn't killed right there and then in the trainyard, despite the fact that the soldiers planed to kill the man anywya once they reached the vicinity of the Big Bad's headquarter. Goes without saying that in both games, the protagonists uses this act of stupidity to overcome their captors, killed most if not all of the antagonist's private band of elite troopers, and confronts the man himself in his office, where a 'visual screen' was located, reinforcing the theme of the whole event of both games being a 'video'. Tell me this isn't just a coincidence ... And how the hell didn't we noticed this earlier ? ... thank myself for my first bath after a month ... and my marvelous memory of course ... So that makes it Two homage to Rockstar games ... and what was that old saying again ? that there's always a third if you find two ? ...
