Does this thing have unlimited ammo? If not, then what's the capacity and how much is it on the black market? Just wanted to ask before I spent $2 on it.

Dude, it is DEFINATELY worth it, i didn't know what to expect when I first ordered it, i didn't have a clue, shot a car then my face dropped, and was like, HOLY.. but im christian so I don't swear
so i said Ship ![]() Also the Parachute Thrusters are the best thing out of that pack, really good for getting you out of situations but the vehicle isn't that great, just a better army jet to be honest.

Holy freakin crap! I just blew a Tuk Tuk into some dude's house! This thing is awesome, but I'm kind of worried I'm going to run out of ammo for it so much and keep buying more that I'll run out of money eventually...

I actually have the DLC pack, but do you know I have never used the air propulsion gun? I ordered it from the BM one day last week, and when I picked it up, I noticed it replaces my Machine Gun as the heavy weapon slot holds only one weapon. Since I really like my machine gun, I just reloaded the save (to get my 45 grand back) and continued on my hardcore save.
lol So that means I have not used ONE item from the new DLC pack. Oh well. |

Not a bad idea about the extra save... And we do need 2 heavy weapon slots.

Xbox360kris, I know it's stupid, and I am only spiting myself, but the way this game limits weapons (forget about the ammo cap even) is just sucking all the "experimental fun" out of it for me. When I downloaded the first pack, I was so excited and couldn't wait to try the thrusters and some of the other weapons. Then, once I lost my thrusters a couple of times, I learned the lesson NOT to buy them anymore. When I saw that this air gun replaces my most potent weapon, I swear I actually thought of tossing the game in the trash for such absolute stupidity.
Then I calmed down, and just proceeded as if I never ordered the DLC, which is the same I did with the first DLC. I guess that makes me a sucker, because I paid actual money for it, albeit only $3.98 now. And I know it sounds dumb, but I have yet to actually try ANY of the weapons in either pack for that reason. Not to mention in one normal save that I got 99.95% and my present hardcore save, which will probably be around 99+% also, I have NEVER bought (or held) a sniper, RPG, or ANY single weapon, unless the game gave it to me specifically because a mission required it. But in each instance, I put a marker on the map and the SECOND the mission was over, I went back and got my machine gun! What a stupid idea, limiting weapons slots so badly! Avalanche really needs to lean a lesson from Rockstar and Volition in this regard. |

Thats what I do, it's probably the best weapon to have so much fun with!

on hardcore the air gun is 'almost useless' but very fun , I played with it for about an hour and I also used the air-gun then went back to my trusty ole' shotgun of pain.
If I was told today I can only buy one thing it would be the thrusters no doubt about it.

I'd also like two heavy weapon slots. Rico has plenty of space on the left side of his back. That way I can carry a Machine Gun and a Multi Lock, with the ability to switch out the Machine Gun for the APG as it is around a lot
It would make the game twice as good!

I've tried many experiments involving saving during weapon swaps and so on to see whether I could glitch the APG clip size, or somehow freeze it while it's firing in such a way that the clip never empties, but no luck after many hours of trying. It's pathetic we even have to resort to such strategies. There are a lot of very odd design decisions in the game, such as the grapple logic which decrees that Rico has to be in/on a vehicle for it to stay attached to any other object/NPC/vehicle. After finding LDT (see my sig) I was hoping to find something similarly useful in the weapons and ammo area, but sadly to no avail.

Still, the APG has a use that nothing else in the game has. You can use it to push stuff around. This is most apparent when trying to get that frigging Silverbolt out of a tree, since aircraft cannot move backwards. It makes doing funky stuff a lot easier.
Plus it's superfun. It just is.
