A bud on Facebook turned me on to this band, and...whoa.

Ordinarily I avoid C-Rock like Kryptonite, but if ever there were a band to crash through the constraints of genre, this is it. Just freakin' awesome, preachiness notwithstanding.

Second helping, same story: Whoa. Phenomenal groove, excellent vocal melody.

And no, there's nothing wrong with your computer - just still photos this time, for whatever reason...

"Leaving You" by Tomoko Kawase. 'No idea what's up with the band dressed in drag - maybe this is best listened to with the monitor turned off - but just a great tune. Unfortunately, it's the only great tune on the "I Kill My Heart" disc, so if you like it, just do the iTunes single download. Like a fool I sprung for the whole disc - arrggh. Her last two CDs were great, so who knew?

"The Julian Lennon Version" - LOL! - I'd never seen this performance before. "Go For Soda" is like an old friend, and Mr. Mitchell is always good for the soul... 8D

    It's better than slander
Ugh, sorry Kasigi, but that's one I would have sooner forgotten
It reminds me of all the bad bar bands I saw in the 80s

I've been listening to the COMPLETE Miles Davis catalog this week, that's about 25 hours worth of stuff...er, I should say complete, all the official releases at least. I compiled all his albums on my itunes several years ago, it took a while!!!
I love that sweet spot in between the late 50s stuff and his 60s delve into fusion and away from the straight ahead stuff.

@Danielsun I surprisingly liked that song after listening to it (also the music video gets bonus points for having Lego pieces scattered around the floor amongst all the other toys. Hooray for Lego!).

I'm currently listening to Glósóli by Sigur Ros.

@ Rios That's the first song in which I recognised their work (and then I realised that "Hoppipolla" is used in nearly every commercial on T.V so that was technically the first song I heard from them. ^.^; ).

I've just bought the their Takk album so I'm currently listening to that.

OH OH OH!!! GREAT MOVIE, I think my favorite from the Cohen Bros!!!! Good score too, although there almost isn't any

...Don't put it in your pocket.

    Sir?

Don't put it in your pocket. It's your lucky quarter.

...Where you want me to put it?

Anywhere not in your pocket. Or it'll get mixed in with the others and become just a coin. Which it is.
I dig his music from Miller's Crossing and Fargo.

'Just got Marty Friedman's "Tokyo Jukebox" disc from CDJapan a couple days ago... First impression: easily the best instrumental guitar disc I've heard since Lane's "Tri-Tone Fascination," also nicely different from anything I've heard before. Check out his high-intensity cover of the old enka tune "Amagigoe":
