Default Windows 7 Installation

Hey all, I'm new here.

Very excited to start the game, but there's a problem: When I tried installing it, I forgot to close out of all other applications first, so the computer ended up crashing. Okay, I learned my lesson. But now that it's time to reinstall it, when I put in the DVD the autorun.exe screen doesn't give me the option to install! I've scoured the harddrive for any remnants of the aborted install, and I can't find anything. I even tried a system restore to a point before I tried installing it the first time. Does anyone know what might be the problem?

For reference, I'm using Windows 7 Home Edition. and my hardware is up to recommended specs. Thanks!

Hi

Try this:

- exit from that autorun.exe,
- go to the INT folder on your DVD (or whichever is the right folder for your language version),
- run setup.exe from there.

Tell me what happens.

Hhhmm. Seemed to install just fine, but when the installation bar was at 100%, I got four error messages regarding files that were not found. When I tried to run the game, I got the error message: "General Protection Fault!" Now I'm even more confused. Thoughts?

And of course it IS a legit copy ? Try copying the dvd to a folder on your hard drive and install from there by running that setup.exe.
