Default Anyone else fed up?

Why oh way do they feel the need to make the army relentlessly spawn? This and a combination of stupid as faction AI has got me pulling my hair out. They can't even do something as simple as get in a bloody car when they are being shot at and when you put one soldier down 20 bloody more appear, why Avalanche, why? Apart from this the game is pretty good but it makes me feel like this

I don't think the infinite spawning would be so bad if it were maybe toned down just a little OR we were given the ability to stockpile ammo. Walking into a situation like that with every single time I want to engage the military becomes tedious and frustrating. I actually sit there and decide whether I want to shoot a soldier by virtue of the weapon he is carrying. If is it not something that will add to the tiny amount of ammo the game allows me to hold (say if he is shooting me with a handgun or shotgun), then I grapple him to death, which of course is pretty tedious to do as well. When I sneak up on a military base I I try to kill as many soldiers as possible by "pulling them" until they are dead. Not a lot of fun for a sandbox game where you have 360+ locations to take over.

The enemy are infinite so long as at least one of them can see you, it is possible to take cover until the heat goes off in most areas, you just need to work out the best place for cover, in the city's it's always the roof unless they have sent a heli, but even then it's possible to tuck into a position on the roof that causes the heli AI problems manouvering into position to take a shot, in some villages look for balcony's and get on them and crouch until the heat dies, where no reasonable cover is available then use your grapple and chute to quickly get out of the area.
In military bases the enemy are not infinite, I figured about 5 waves, I usually take out all the soldiers in a base first, then I can destroy structures at leisure, don't be in a hurry to kill them all at once, take out a wave, seek cover until heat goes off then do the next, try to keep the heat level below 5, that way you do not have to worry about heli's turning up.

I've noticed if you kill all the enemy in the immediate area ,even if your at level 4-5 , the HEAT automatically goes into rapid kool down mode (orange)

It seems at though there is a "line of sight" element to the enemy awareness

Definitely line of sight.

There's nothing worse than goosing it out of a base, having your heat start cooling down, and then grappling over a hill and being retagged.

Cliffs ftw. Sometimes. Unless the enemy slides down the cliff after you.

Another thing that might interest you, keep in mind I'm playing easy level, in villages/towns I never have to face more than 5 soldiers during battle, yesterday I killed 4 and hooked the last one to street lamp but did not kill him, I stood there with a full heat level 1 but no more soldiers appeared, that is until I killed him, it seems the basis for combat in this game is complete a wave before the next wave is sent in.

Speaking of annoying, what's with the random heat out of nowhere? I was in a civilian village not driving any vehicle and just picking up the parts crates scattered around. I was minding my own business standing on a roof, and not only did I get heat, but level 5 for absolutely nothing!

Oh, and RunningBare, I have found that the spawn and respawn of he army is random. I have walked into a military base and barely had any soldiers to contend with while going from 0 to 100%, and I have walked into others and got pumelled by dozens of guys, rocket launchers, and several helicopters without getting off of Heat level 1.

@OP: I also recommend upgrading the Machinegun when you can, as you can take soldiers, vehicles and choppers out very quickly. Leveled up Grenades, Assault Rifle and SMG also do well, and you're likely to find ammo for all of those on soldiers.

As far as random heat, I get it consistently in the cities. I will actually notice the warning symbol go off for a moment, (even on a roof) then suddenly there's the heat. Rarely have trouble outside of that, except when a military structure gets accidentally destroyed.
