Question Feedback.

Hey guys,

Does anyone knows why there is no feedback in the forums from the devs/administrators? That's what this forum about isn't? Talking with each other and asking questions about the game, so where are the guys who can answer them? i mean, this is there job. I wanna know when the next patch is going to come out (If there ever is going to be patch) so some feedback would be nice. I people are having some difficult questions about the game or the site, some feedback would be nice. So please administrators/devs, give us some feedback!

Dennis

There is some feedback from them from time to time.
But mostly the forums are here for gamers to talk with other gamers... which is kinda how most game forums work

don't quote me on this, but it could be that Square Enix London Studios has been moving it's offices around...

Default Throw us a freakin bone".

They could at least give us a post telling us where they stand. will they or will they not grant our requests. They make there living from us buying there products. Now every time I see their company logo on a package I will associate it with lack of support or concern of what the customer wants.

I have commented many times on this forum recently that we are currently working on a patch. When we've more details to share about when and what will be included, we will.

I know it's frustrating guys, I wish I had more to say - but these things take time. We're on it.

And Movura's right, the studio is currently being renovated. Mayhem, everywhere.

It takes a lot of work to get a game made and there is still plenty of work that needs to be done after it's released. Give it some time.

Not to mention the fact that there hasn't really been much evidence of Avalanche Studio guys around here, at least I don't think so. Mr. Oldman is with SE, not Avalanche, so if there is feedback, requests, etc, that reach him they probably gotta go through some more channels before reaching Avalanche. Also, those requests have to be approved by SE as well as Avalanche (or so I would assume). Then you gotta wait for it all to come back through those channels.

It can take a little while. A company like Valve is a producer of games, like Square Enix, as well as their own developer. Because of that, feedback that goes from one Valve man can easily get to another Valve man and a response tends to be quicker.

Companies like Square Enix or EA own some development companies, or just work with a company on games, which means it takes longer for a response.

At least this is my take on some of the insides of the gaming business. Hopefully I will experience it all firsthand...someday...

Er...if you're still looking in here, could you comment on what I just posted? Like is part of it right and all. Just so I can understand the biz more.

You're right in that it takes time.

The JC2 team is split between London and Sweden - and there are many people involved in the project as a whole. We've designers and producers here sitting next to me, as well as the guys over at Avalanche. With regards to there not being anyone from the team on the forums directly, there is: me.

Feedback we take from the forum therefor is quickly received. And we look at everything, all the time. The reason I've not said much about the forthcoming patch right now is because, right now, there isn't all that much to tell beyond the aforementioned "we're working on it".

Putting out title updates for a game isn't a simple process and takes some time to pull together. When we've more details to share on the update, we will I promise.

Do try to stay cool.
