The Dictator. Not quite as funny as I was hoping. There was a few hilarious moments, but overall, meh

Prometheus is next on my list

Crazy Stupid Love. Ryan Gosling was amazing, as always, and Steve Carell was pretty funny.

That's My Boy. Much better than I expected, as I usually don't like Adam Sandler. but both he and Andy Sandberg put on nice performances. Milo Ventimiglia also put on a funny performance.

Ted. Marky Mark Wahlberg was pretty good in that, Seth MacFarlene and Mila Kunis were good as well. Overall a hilarious movie though.

The Ballad Of Cable Hogue One of Jason Robards better movies. I know few of you have ever heard of him or the movie. Too bad. The crap they are and have been presenting in the last 15 years has been pap for the juvenile market.they have had little or no soul, no drama, no real actors or actresses. And the plots, in the main have been laughable.

This I can agree with.

Prometheus was an awesome, awesome film. A number of people said it was disappointing so I'm curious to understand what they "wanted" from it but it was certainly a fine film.

The Ballad Of Cable Hogue
HA! Me too, on The Western Chanel?
I always liked that one plus Robards is one of my favorites!

I'm a little scared of Prometheus. I just can't see it being any good in comparison to the original. Scott just isn't the same guy as he used to be. He used to make a very specific kind of movie but he branched out and now his movies are more mundane and have less and less personality.
The first movie was near perfect, devoid of all sentiment, it was pretty cold and that made is special.
I'll see it eventually but I have an idea it won't fit with the first movie.
And by the way, although the second movie is fun, I think it's miserable and a squeal, rah rah win one for the home team!

I finally got around to seeing The Avengers. By far the best action movie I've seen in a long time.

The Mixer A tape of the series run on PBS many, many years ago. The hero/villian is a thief much like the Saint, or Raffles.

If you don't know the references you need to read more books and get out of the Vampire/Undead movie cycle.

The Blood of Heros Film about a very violent and bloody sport in an apocalyptic future. Rutger Hauer, Vincent D'Onofrio.

An older movie that beats the hell out of the current crop of crap.

Lightbulb

My brother and I saw The Amazing Spider-Man on Tuesday and thought it was fan-flipping-tastic!

I totally thought it was better than the Tobey trilogy. (Which I did enjoy - minus the last one).

Andrew Garfield was more believable as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in terms of cockiness about his new abilities and not as overly naive as Tobey Maguire. I enjoyed the web system better than the hand/web attribute too as it showcased Parker's intellect and resourcefulness. The chemistry between Garfield and Emma Stone (as Gwen Stacy) was so much greater than that of Maguire and Kirsten Dunst (as Mary Jane Watson). I think ol' KStew and RPat can learn a thing or two from them for the last Twilight movie.

Overall, best movie I've seen all year (until I see The Dark Knight Rises tomorrow, anyway).

Interesting question for those who've seen the new Spider-Man:

Have a great day

I saw it the day before yesterday, and it's awesome! It starts off a bit slow, but then it gets better and better

hmm it was indeed good

i haven't heard about cancelling it guess it has to do with the shooting. As i see it the movie itself has nothing to do with it he wanted to kill innocent people and he thought the movie would attract allot of people. very sorry for all the people that got killed and their families its a tragedy
