I don't go to see many movies. Just hardly any time any more. I did get a chance to see Kick-Ass and I found it to be a really good movie.

I just saw (dvd at home) District 9 tonight. It was pretty entertaining and a little different than the average action movie.
I saw Blind Side (dvd at a friends house) last week. Not my usual type of movie choice but it was pretty good considering it was so warm and cuddly

Lilies of the Field with Sidney Poitier. One of the best in the last 60 years.

If you've not seen it you have missed a real treat.

My brother and I saw Hot Tub Time Machine today. I'm glad I had free passes and didn't have to pay for it.

Next week: A Nightmare On Elm Street.

So I'm good to guess that it wasn't a very good film?

Next week: A Nightmare On Elm Street.
I'm tempted to watch that too

It had some cute parts to it, but overall, I wouldn't recommend it.

I just finished watching You Don't Know Jack on HBO. Now that was good.

That's a good one. I saw it when I was in high school but just watched it on TCM a few months ago.

Watched Inglourious Basterds again last night - still the best film to come out in 2009 in my opinion!

Well I went and saw Clash of the Titans after all and was pleased. It wasn't as bad as what I'd been expecting. It wasn't great, maybe a little too much in your face and had some character and plot development issues but otherwise it was exciting and entertaining. Awesome visually too.

I agree. I am very open-minded about movies, so I like to ignore most of the downsides to some of the plots and just enjoy the good parts of them. For example I loved the action in Clash of the Titans, I didn't care if the story ws good or not: the action scenes were epic.

And the last movie I saw was... *thinking* Ah I can't even remember... oh well, I know that I will be seeing Iron Man 2 very soon when it hits the theatres! Whoo, I am overly excited for this one.

Oh so for more thoughts, has anyone seen Shutter Island? I thought that looked worth seeing at the cinema.

It was good, but a bit predictable. One of DiCaprio's better flicks, IMO. And of course you can't go wrong with Sir Ben Kinglsey.
