Default Just cause 2 Crashes at same place in mission

Hey,

Im currently having a bit of trouble. Bought this game two days ago, and for now, i currently have just free roamed, when i figured I would start doing missions. So I went for one of the clans. I helped them caputre a military base ut on the mountain. I cleared the base and took a car. Then i got to this plane mission, it was more like a race with a propeller plane, red one. If anyone haveing trouble understand what mission im talking about, i can provide coordinates. Its located just down the road from the base. When passing the 11th. gate, and halfway towards the 12th. The game freezes. When pressing any key, it goes to desctop regardless of what graphic setting i use

Pc spec
nVidia gts 250 1,7GB (newest drives from nvidia.com)
Core duo 2,13GHz
3gb DDR2
Vista 32x

Anyone got a clue what this is about? I have in my desperate times testet out diffrent cracks all that without any luck.
I have reinstalled the game so its the orginal files now.

Just wondering if you ever got this fixed as the same exact thing is happening to me as well. Also with the gts250 and newest drivers.

There was a post in the "Issue with Free Trade/Roaches First Mission" thread elsewhere here which read as follows:

"I right clicked on Properties on the Steam Folder, then ran a "check Integrity or cache" thing, Steam ran the test and said that there was one problem and proceeded to re-download the game/Install it. I still had all my saved games and when it completed it, I launch it and Voila! The issue was fixed."

I'm not saying this will definitely help you with this crashing issue but I wonder if it might be worth a go? Best of luck. Hope you manage to get it resolved.

That worked perfectly. Thanks a lot for a help, I'm pretty new with steam so that was some real good info to know.

You're welcome. The solution was actually posted not by myself but by radic202 in another thread. Good to see you're back up and running.

Hey Glad that a problem I had a little while ago and found the solution for it was noticed by another Member of these Forums. Now that is what I call a Community of Gamers helping each other out. Boy! I would love to recruit SeldomAthleticFC to my Gaming Guild because peeps like him would surely fit right in with us or practically anyone else in here who have been so helpful.
